I think most of you guys, when comparing Euro and Japan cars to American makes, need to replace the word "better" with "more econmically efficient". Concidering mosr economically viable Americans will drive a high performance car that gets lousy gas milage.

Plus you can sit there throw on all your turbo chargers, spoilers and whatnot, but you really gonna realize when Billy Bob wants to drag you with his 454 ci 900hp powered Nova is that there is no replacement for displacement.

How much do Corvettes, or most other high end american car makes go for in Europe anyway?

and has a theoretical top speed of 400 mph

Can you imagine? That would be nuts! You get hit by a fly in the head at 150mph and you get a bruise.

Why would I choose the Tomahawk?

The guy was showing it off by slowly driving it at a show, and the thing tipped over! Keep in mind, it has four wheels.

I am sooooo not trusting Dodge to build my sports bike. Viper engine or no. Tho it sounds like a whole lot of funny.

BTW, did you guys hear about The Valkyrie Rune?

buy a Lambhorghini or a Ferrarri when a modified Corvette is just as good and can also hit upwards of 220mph

Well, the corvette won't out handle them. It just can't. Not to mention the enterior of the car is mostly plastic. At least a Supra had leather. Then you have the "coolness" factor to consider. Or that fact you want to flaunt your cash.

Plus a corvette is sooooo...common. Nothing really exotic about it.

but you really gonna realize when Billy Bob wants to drag you with his 454 ci 900hp powered Nova is that there is no replacement for displacement.

If all your interested in doing is going in a straight line really fast, sure displacement owns. If you want to turn, that modified supra will make that Nova look like it only has 3 wheels. Thats why I hate Nascar, after watching motorcycle racing, its just a glorified parade.

If you want to go fast, buy a motorcycle. In the U.S. you can find a used CBR, or GSXR for less than $8,000. Top speed is less than 180 mph, but who ever really goes that fast.

Vette isnt really.. that common. At least in my area... stupid shits like Celicas and imports are more common. And the Supra is a really nice car without the stupid little PLASTIC CRAP hanging all over the place. Body modding is the ugliest thing, and people think it adds power.

BTW, a Chevy Nova with 900 hp? Impossible without running a shitload of Nitrous through it... and by then, the weight on that car is much too much.

My brother in law has a 98 Camaro, its 800 hp and runs in the 8s. It is stripped down to the minimum, and that weightloss adds a lot of extra power.

oh! and the Corvette might not be able to handle a Euro/Asian car on a curvy track, but... in the US, its about the straightaway.

Oh, and for the overseas racing market, I'd go with the Mazda RX-8. That was BUILT for track-use

That explains the popularity of SUVs

S2000!

O, a new RX-7 is all but confirmed. You can expect a turbo charged one from Mazda speed division. That will be an amazing car.

Keep hearing of a non-turbo Supra being made by Toyota. That would suck.

I've been saving up for a 04 Yamaha YZF R1 for the trip back and forth from Camp Lejeune to home. I should have enough once I complete Boot.

This is what I want my baby to look like.....

I've seen street legal(maybe) 454ci and ford 460ci and even a ford cobra jet 427 push 800-900hp. And a 454 could easily fit under the hood of a Nova, although it would be better suited in a Chevelle, those things are fucking boats.

That picture you posted isn't a 04 R1.

They moved the exhaust under the seat, and several other adjustments, for the 04 models. Also, the flame paint job isn't available anymore, I think. Tho, I don' t think it ever came in purple, so I assume you wanted to get a custom job anyways.

Personally, if I got a new sports bike, I go with either the Honda 600rr or the R1.

Kawasaki's new bikes look like ass. So does the new Ducati 999. My god, the old 998 just oozed badness, what has Ducati done....

What i look for in a motorcycle is not speed, iwant the neighberhood to know that i'm coming home on a bike like such

one of a kind are the only way to go with bikes

I think I'm starting to love you UJ.

Why would they make another RX-7? RX-8 is the next gen...

About the street legal muscle cars... they can be street legal with nitrous, but they need a ton of it to run that high. Just too much weight on old bodies.

UJ: I bloody hate choppers.

But I'm the custom-type, hence my preference to the Honda Shadow or Custom.

Yamah rocks too, but I'd go for the V Star Custom, butchaknow...

There is only so much you customize on a bike, and in the end, it gets lost in the parking lot... Look at that Chopper, could it be mistaken for anything else?
here's a detail of the handelbar raisers (i took it on another bike i could not find good pictures of that one)

notice the six guns shooters.

I failed to mention that the smith and weston one has a jockey shifter.

Well, I often don't like the way choppers sit, but that aside I just think they're ugly. And it's not like choppers are extremely rare.

Though customs are indeed more common

And Odin, to quote Finding Nemo: Mine mine mine mine mine mine

Why would they make another RX-7? RX-8 is the next gen...

A while ago, when someone asked him about the RX-7 at a show, a Mazda rep said it wasn't economically efficent to just make one car with the rotary engine and other things that are unique to just the RX-8. The RX-8 will not justify the building of these things all by its self.

The RX-8 isn't a balls to the wall sports car. If/when Toyota brings out a Supra, and when Nissian finally puts a turbo on the 350Z, mazda will need a RX-7. The RX-8 is kind of like the station wagon version on the IS300 or the WRX. Its still amazing, but its not a true sports car. The rotary engine is just begging for a turbo....

You can poke a few holes in your muffler of your car! Everyone will hear you coming then!

Kidding, I know what you mean.

only mine is green/creame color..

Damn, you're making me have flashbacks...

My mom's boyfriend used to let me drive his Shadow to high school before he sold it. Damn, that thing was sooo sweet it's not even funny. I'd be passing people on the highway like it was nothing. The acceleration was mindboggling. Oh, and the mileage was oh-so-sweet!

Can you sell me yours?

I just wasn't sure if you knew they changed it/stopped putting on the flame paint job, cuz you said:

Its seemed like you were saying the bike in the pic was the 04 you wanted. I was just trying to give you a heads up, not insult your biker knowledge!
