I'm a pretty huge fan of the series, hell my username is a nod to General Grievous who is my favorite character (Before he got shit on in the new canon). Return of the Jedi is my favorite from the original trilogy, as the entire story comes full circle with Anakin fufilling the prophecy and restoring balance to the Force. The prequels......eh. They're fun to watch as mindless entertainment and as a look at the events that led to the rise of the Empire, but that's about it. Revenge of the Sith is the only one that could be considered to be a decent film overall.

My favourite SW game is probably TIE Fighter, TIEd with Jedi Knight 2 and Battlefront 2, maybe.
Battlefront 2 and Republic Commando are by far my favorite Star Wars games. SWTOR is alright, even if it is just Mass Effect with a Star Wars skin. I've been dying to play the KOTR games however.

I grew up in the 80s and 90s so yea I love me some starwars. I took my wife, who hates SW, and most of our "nerd stuff" to the new film and she loved it, I certainly enjoyed it, though I think Kylo is a bit too much of an angsty millenial bitch.

She then decided to sit down and watch the original trilogy..for the first time now she is hooked.. only took 13 years.

Love conquers all...and endless pestering. And Darth Vader and his coolness. Chewy too I guess.

I like the first three movies, really like the darth Bane trilogy and KOTOR 2, I love Kreia and her bullshit.

I liked the first 3 films (Empire was my favourite) but sadly I only got to see those films after Lucas made all of his infamous changes (except for Return) while the prequels are what I watch when I get desperate for mindless entertainment.

For books, I read the Bane Trilogy and liked them (but sadly never found time to get the Thrawn Trilogy).

As for the games, I enjoyed Battlefront (the orignal 2) and loved the KOTOR games (I preferred KOTOR 2 though; 2 is still my favourite Star Wars product to date and was my introduction to proper RPGs).

Good ol' Kreia. Deconstructing Star Wars even while she was in a Star Wars game.

The 6 films are pretty good and all that but honestly the Expanded Universe stuff is really the part of Star Wars I'm most interested in.

Man its wierd some of the best SW is coming from a Disney XD cartoon. Dave Feloni (sp?) is a great steward of Star Wars And I'd like to see him direct an Anthology movie. The last season finale of Rebels on Malachor was great. That being said really looking forward to Rouge One to boot. It is a good time to be a Star Wars fan again.

How is Rebels. I hear a lot of good stuff about it, and I watched some and I was impressed.
Rebels starts out weak for the first season (I recall dropping it rather quickly) but the second season had some good things (like making Vader into an unstoppable and terrifying monster of an enemy, references to the old Expanded Universe, some nods to the Clone Wars cartoon etc.). The little bit I've watched in the second season was rather decent for a quick watch.

That being said, I'll probably wait for Thrawn to actually show up though before I start watching season 3.

EDIT: Forgot to add that this was what I got from my own watching. Impressions and opinions on Rebels will differ so keep that in mind.

Fair enough, pretty much every TV show has a weak start, but it usually gets up on it's feet later.

Nah don't listen to that and watch it yourself. To me it picks up the pace a lot faster then Clone Wars did. Hell by 3rd season of Clone Wars it was just starting to find its groove and get good while Rebels has been pretty solid since middle of the 1st season and 2 hit it out of the park.

Big Star Wars fan here. I've put about 100 hours in both Kotor games and regrettably put 1,000,000,000 hours in the MMO, SWTOR. I'm glad to say I haven't played SWTOR seriously in at least 3 years but I hear it's getting better, too bad it still runs like dog ass on my PC. When it comes to the movies, I like the original trilogy the most of course but I do like Revenge of the Sith a lot and I'm a bit of a Phantom Menace apologist on the writing side of things at least, the acting on the other hand was atrocious and impossible to defend for me. Episode 2 was..... I'll just say that romance like that doesn't belong in Star Wars, like ever. I'd take failed comic relief like Jar Jar over that shit. I love Star Wars but I'm also the worst Star Wars fan in the world because I own the Force Awakens on bluray and I still haven't seen it yet. Maybe I'll watch it tonight.

@MercenarySnake I can beat the test where you describe details about the Phantom Menace characters. I admit, it's harder and he has a point there, the writing isn't great but I don't think that's what brought down the movie in the end. I think the monotone acting and lack of communication I assume with the director is what ruined The Phantom Menace. I tend to agree with the whole "George Lucas is a control freak" thing. He tried to do everything himself and he failed, that was the main problem.

I think it was a mix of writing, acting(even though I thought Liam Neeson and Ewan Mcgregor did as best as they could with the direction they were given), and everybody around him being a yesman/yeswoman instead of helping him and giving him critique about his script.

Qui gon jiin was the best part of the phatomn menace. Obiwan was the best part of attack and revenge. The casting was there everything else wasn't. That's was the problem I think.
