State of gaming: Early 2017. "Mass Effect Andromeda"

What's apparent is that you can no longer just slap open-world on a game cover and expect it to do well. The open-world market is saturated thanks to Ubisoft, Bethesda, and other major studios.

I hope the devs at Bioware do a sort of 'post-mortem' vlog where they talk about the shortcomings of Andromeda - particularly why the animations were sort of just glossed over with a "good enough" brush.

One of my franchises - Deus Ex - had a major hurdle with Invisible War, and the two key devs were transparent enough to do a post-mortem about the game:

That's a retarded standard. I can understand it and think it should apply to budget titles/mobile games.
People behind Andromeda never worked on anything big before, DLCs and ME3 MP only.

You've seen Skyrim LL mods with better animations. (the avatar just gives you away)
At least Loverslab dealt with mesh clipping.

I'm going to be honest, I don't have Skyrim on PC, so I don't really look at Skyrim mods.

Skyrim on PS3 was a giant painful unbalanced unfun grind where all you do is hammer away at whatever moves to get your weapon skills up, hold block and get hit for shield and armour skills, and spam magic every second for magic skills. ;(
