State of gaming: Early 2017. "Mass Effect Andromeda"

Man, how are the "Witcher 3 style sex scenes" going to look like? Will the character just be humping the area to the left of each other's genitals? Will the O faces just skip and snap into place?

I don't get why people are blaming "Feminasmssss!" for the low quality, it's very clearly just incompetence, no clean up on the motion capture, irregular modeling quality on important characters, poorly done Lip Synching, they obviously just let the engine create all inebtween frames and sometimes it seemes they even forgot to make it generate frames at all seeing how often animations just snap into each other. Just obvious rush job, on the quality of the typical Source FIlm maker video.

Talk about bare minimum effort being too high of a bar...

So not only does she stare off into space after hitting him...but he doesn't even hit her. Looks more as if he's just sniffing her shoulder. Not to mention her frozen facial expression.

EDIT:

Unless the reviews say its a peice of dogshit like colonial marines im still gonna buy it on launch and formulate my own opinion about it.

I'm not. I think you should let it drop in price first if you insist on buying it.

Animations are ass looking so far but thats only presentation and since I like bioware ill give them some benefit of the doubt and see how the game holds up once I got my hands on it.

They've had plenty of time to work on the animations, to me there's little excuse for the shoddy job they've done.

Bcuz Bioware are a bunch of SJWs for some reason that we never bother to explain, and therefore everything they do is just SJW, Feminazi Virtue Signalling.

I know I was disappointed Katy Townsend's character is only available to Female Ryders but that's not enough to make me think there's a conspiracy.

You know, this is one of the things I really like about Bioware. Characters actually have different sexualities, rather than having the generic throwaway "Lol, everyone is bi, you can fuck every character"

I think the "feminism!!11" complaint is less the quality but more the stylistic choices, i.e. the "ugly" female characters.

Someone, I think it was a Ubisoft CFO, told a true story about Canada (ME:A made by Bioware edmonton). Anyway, every game development studio getting tax cuts and loans from the goverments on the terms of creating workplaces. If the studio doesn't make quotas for all sorts of colleage graduates, be it gays/transwomen/sorts of SJWs/other unemployed youth and inexperienced girls like that ME:A "Lead animator" or not, then the said game developer ends up being in debt because of not following these conditions. So the studio quickly hires you know what kind of staff and organizes a conveyors of people occupied Azatoth only knows what with just because you need to occupy them with something and produce games out of this mess. And keeping the experienced key people in the same studio I must add. Canada developed more AAA titles than shovelware done by all eastern europe combined.

I kinda understand why Iron Tower Studio stands aloof.

As for the Andromeda in short:
The story - beyond retared
The lore - developers didn't bother much, SAM will explain and all that.
The gameplay - shoot in bullet sponges from the guns with zero recoil and pray for AI not going suicidal, run everywhere with your scanner like an autist to gather PATHFINDER POINTS.

That's a retarded standard. I can understand it and think it should apply to budget titles/mobile games.

But if I'm paying £50, I expect the best quality, so I expect be best people to work on it.

I get and agree with the idea, but the execution is a lot to be desired

Given the conditions for American companies, what you're describing is identical except people who wouldn't normally get jobs get them and there's extra money to go around rather than just firing everyone immediately after finishing.

Take the story of Homefront:

I'm not sure how hard it is to craft these animations but Mad Max had some incredibly realistic movements IMO, look at Jeet's movements at the start of both these videos, if we could get more of that in games instead of rigid dead eyed staring it would be great.

Even RAGE did it better, and it's an older release. Man, this game has great animations. And in combat, they actually play into it.
