Strength the first Fallout 4 SPECIAL video is out

It's pretty weird how they actually had that workbench system in Skyrim where you would need different types of plataforms to do different types of items, to make armor the plataform always had the anvil, fire pit and water tank, and so forth. Now you can just put together military grade combat armor out of nails and plastic on a garage by being strong enough....

Totally legitimate...

Yeah maaaan, why are you always trying to mess with our good times, maaaaan, with your sensability and demand for good design and writing.

You're worse than Hitler or something, maaaaan.

He can build weapons that take places like the Gun Runners in order to manufacture because "I SUPER STRONG HUMIN!"
Seriously though this dickhead must be a legendary gunsmith with the ability to create an AR15 or an SKS from a small metal box and some plastic tubes.

It's a little too cutesy for me. It reminds me of an old looney toons cartoon in animation and style, which doesn't really fit fallout at all imo.

But Bethesda's vision of Fallout sees it as set in the 50's and thus the animation style fits.

I don't think they are off the mark here ~they are wrong of course; for changing the setting from the 50's idea of the future ~into the 50's set in the future (they'll never learn, and don't care anyway), but the actual video looks authentic IMO.

Do you remember the one from Fallout 2?

Aaahh all those child hood memories!

Steady, you'll force me to start posting videos of Air Wolf and Street Hawk soon if you're not careful ;) Though MacGyver beats them both, because while they were both awesome and could blow things up, only MacGyver could build their vehicles with nothing more than a few pieces of junk and a hose (not that he would as that would constitute building a weapon, but eh).

Well the problem there lies in how barebones the workbench they have for ALL crafting looks. It should be that to manufacture your own mods out of scrap you would need more elaborate ones and that you should be limited by the type of workbench too. And that in the barebones crafting tabe you would only end up with crappy makeshit weapons where you would still need pre fabricated stuff to even attempt to put together.

I mean, this asshole is doing on a workbench what the Gun Runners need an entire building and around a dozen People to do. Then again, this is bethesda, they already made Nuclear bombs a joke, they didn't give a shit about nukes being dangerous and important why would they give a shit about gun manufacturing? I mean they have a crank operted Laser rifle....

Its not as if the gun runners had any heavy machinery though.... It was just a dozen or so people standing absent mindedly over work and reloading benches.

Abstractions, one has them being in a room surrounded by benches and terminals with details on the work they do, the other one is an abstracton of being strong being what gives you access to construction of advanced armor.

Bethesda does enough to keep me interested but also repulsed.

Will perception control Crafting of regular guns?
If they wanted to "streamline" the system that much then theyshould at least think of what makes sense, all crafting should be dependant on the Intelligence stat, this stupidity of making strenght control the Melee and Armor crafting is handholding so that players don't really have to diversify or even think about stat cross-overs.
Enough people complained about "missing out on content 'JUST BECAUSE they didn't meet the requirements' " So they are probably just complying and feeding the mash to their little babies.

This is why the AAA market is not the future of videogames, and it is just serving to undermine the entire medium as a whole.
