The "Bald Dude" Mod!

Bump.

Bald dude lives! :P

--- --- --- --- ---

no gloves this time around though
and no linky (yet)

If this page is up to date, animations from vault jumpsuit and metal armor are still missing.

But looks like it's done 'soon'? :P

Now we'll have 3 male models in the future :D

Wonder if someone will ever make the redhead model for female tough...

No, it's not up to date, i've made a good amount of animations since i last updated it.

I wish :P No, there's still a lot of animations left to be done for both the jumpsuit and the metal armor.

Not me... (lest i melt down into a pile of goo in front of the pc).

I actually have absolutely no usage for this critter, by contrast to the leather armor Mk II. guy :)

Everything is pathetic uber shitty shit. Only BGE counts :ok:

Abandon your mods, join BGE, or die.

Awesum! Only four years took to you to understand that! Contie n' cunts counts!

Sorry for being slightly offtopic, but on average how much time does it take to make a full set of animations for a single armor? For example, if we have a new type of armor - how much time would making those take?

Why is that?, the leather armor mk2's are basically the same thing as the bald dude; just additional player character variations...

With 'a full set of animations', do you mean all the animations required for a playable character? If so, and by your example, making a wholly new armor would mean making it from scratch... maybe someone else around here knows or could guesstimate, but it's obvious it would depend on the expertise of the person making it, i personally have no idea.

I mean everything required to play with a character wearing that armor. All the weapon, miss, walk/run, climb, use, death animations plus all I've forgotted about. Can you tell me for an averagely experienced person what time would that take? Would it be 10 hours, or 300 hours? I don't want accurate information, I'm just curious about the average time it takes.

x'il, we'll be presumably using leather armor guy instead of Vault 13 guy in default. Not story-fittin'.

You may also want to wait until the full animations set for tribal outfit comes out. Then you may give the player a jacket (probably with no resists) at start anyway. It would be way more fitting this way. Though I don't know when exactly are the full tribal animations coming out.

We are talking about 160+ critter animations (walk, attack, death, etc) x 6 directions = 960 animations x (up to 8 frames – some more some less) = 7680 total frames approximately. Add the actual procedures – open – save – edit – Photoshop layers, etc – frame animator – adjust position – save FRM…etc. You can now see that all up there is approximately 50,000 actions required for a full complete critter rebuild…and that is just for one armor type…add metal, black leather, normal leather, etc. So it’s not for the weak hearted, and the 300 hours that has been estimated would be probably the minimal time required.

I doubt that a tribal set will ever be complete.
It will be finished, as will the Red head chick, and bald black guy…but not for a while (maybe a few years). I’m willing to set up the files and let others do the grunt work, but even that doesn’t seem to be an incentive enough. The scale of work required can be overwhelming, so I understand the reluctance to get involved. I’m taking a break from the modding scene for a while for health reasons…so the few years’ part is quite accurate I’m afraid.

A new armor would need to be 3d modelled and all that stuff which i know nothing about, so i can't tell. Plus, like i said in my previous post, it would also obviously depend on the expertise of the person making it.

Ah, i see. But you do know that this 'Bald dude' is not just the V13 jumpsuit, right? it's just like the 'long hair dude'; the animations for all the armors. Also, if the default will be leather armor, does that mean we won't be seeing the mad max leather jacket on BGE?

:( Crap, i started to write this post thinking 'hey, i'm gonna ask .Pixote. if he's ready to take a bite of some bald dude animations', and then i saw your post... ah well... good luck and get better .Pixote.
