The battle between the couriers.

It's not really though; like I said, the first time through my dude went and got the map from a pot and left and that was it, DLC over. I didn't have a fucking clue as to what was going on, so I was just confused and following the quest marker.

Exactly, and in real life you wouldn't have a quest marker guiding you and you'd have no idea where the map is. That's why it makes sense for your character to want to help Graham and Daniel, it's the only way he knows he can escape Zion.

Edit: It's meta gaming because you have to follow a quest marker to have any idea how to get out. You're using a tool that wouldn't be available to the character.

Well tecnicaly the quest marker is a feature of the Pipboy, it wouldn't make sense for it to mark the exact lcoation of a map though, it woudl make mroe sense that Joshua woudl have it on him after you kill him, or that he has a note sayign where it is instead.

Yeah but you can't mark something on a map if you have no idea where it is. This isn't a magic Pip-boy that leads you to whatever it is you're looking for.

Thats what I say, it doesn't make sense that it leads you to it when you really have no way of knowing where it is, so it owudl have worked betetr with finding it on Joshua or a note that says where it is.

That's why I'm saying there is a valid reason for you to help Graham even if you're siding with Caesar's Legion. If you don't, for all you know you could be trapped in Zion Valley forever.

Edit: And you already have one tribe trying to murder you, no sane person is going to do something to piss off the tribes who are actually trying to help you.

Well you can always be a Jerk to this people and just go for the map, there should be a corward solution to the problem that doesn't need you to kill the firendly NPCs with the CHaos in Zion option

They probably could've rigged up a thing where you can pass a series of skill of checks to figure out where people might be living, or that might point you towards one of the Survivalists caves that would give you details on where to find the Sorrows; then instead of having it be in a pot, it would be on Daniel's Body or Graham's body, or a note pointing to one of them. Hell, it'd be decent even to have a note (or a map) on Follow's Chalk's body pointing you to their camp (or the sorrow's camp) since the Dead Horses are supposed to be relatively new to Zion, and Graham might want the others to know how to read a proper map instead of just reading their tribe's markings.

Here's an idle thought: Courier 6 and Ulysses are humans, once asleep in cryostasis, until ODYSSEUS' halves hijacked them. Where Ulysses' half is self-aware, Courier 6 is incapable of realizing s/he's carrying the AI, because memory that can compromise it is irretrievable. The half within the Courier is still sentient, capable of seizing other programs, such as Victor, if its life is threatened. For game play reasons, this only happens at the cemetery.

I hope it is, nancy...

Ok, right. I wouldn't like it, either. He's got the whole Rasta Jesus going for him.

Yeah that wouldn't really make much sense, why would Ulysses want to kill you over that? And how would the platinum chip fit into that at all?

I'm just happy with the Courier being a courier, and Ulysses being a rival courier with a grudge.

But dude, we need more ASUM and shit, we need a gang of SUPER Fiends, that want to blow up everything, and the COurrier should be a special little snowflake, INSTANT GRATIFICATION!

And more nucleur exploshuns. Maybe they could add a giant robot fiend that shoots exploshuns out of its eyes.

Is that supposed to be patronizing? You're cooing like a damn infant, grow up.

ODYSSEUS had dual personalities, and a cult of robots tried to enslave it. The AI was not a weapons platform, but it was capable of wielding them. Mankind had simultaneously created and enslaved God.

Given the prominence of Poseidon Energy's HELIOS 1 - the analogue of B.O.M.B. 001, with Presper as Elijah - and the Big Empty, ODYSSEUS is likely in the mix, and not just as a tip-of-the-hat name.

Ulysses being a rival courier with a grudge
Sounds like Pokeman's more your style, unless you want to elaborate. Lonesome Road is the story's climax, so try harder.

I still think there is a big connection between ODYSSEUS and Ulysses and we'll find it out in OWB may not be as far as what I said about being an android but some type of connection.

What's wrong with having someone just want to kill you? Do they have to have robot AI in their brains to be interesting?

Having him just an ordinary rival that wants to kill you makes a lot more sense, and would make it feel like something from the Dollars trilogy or like the Chosen One and Kaga from Fallout 2.
