The Best Game Trailers

I've never played it, but the first time I hit 'Sneak Peak' in one of those Command and Conquer games (I think it was Tiberian Dawn or Red Alert 1) this mesmerized me.



So what's your favorite videogame trailer?

Don't really have a favorite, but a friend of mine pointed out the Dead Island trailer recently. Not game I would like to play, but the trailer was nicely done in my opinion:

I remember seeing this and first thinking, "Oh god, not another DMC game. 2 was a nightmare." Maybe anticipating the worst helped me, but long before the trailer ended, I was for the first time ever, seriously hyped for a game. Didn't see the challenge coming, though.

I'm not quite sure if I'd list it as my "favorite", but DEFINITELY ranks a high number if I were to assembled a "top x favorite" list:

Seeing this for the first time both reminded me of the AWESOME played-entirely-in-first-person Breakdown, and additionally left me spellbound with all the pretty colors and art direction. I was eager as hell to get my hands on a copy of ME after seeing this, and I was thoroughly pleased when I finally played it. A bit short, a bit simple, but a great game, and the trailer sold me on it perfectly! =D

I thought the first Dead Island had a great trailer. Sealed a day-one purchase. That was the last time I ever fell for that trick.

Not sure if it was ever a trailer but the intro for Space Rangers II I thought was great and used to watch the entire thing almost every time I started the game.

there are so many great trailers to chose from. So for me its always changing depending on mood, fantasy, sci-fi etc.

But for now, I think I would go with The Witcher 3: Wild hunt. I mean com on. Its a fucking Lannister talking in there somewhere!

Why is someone squirting ketchup at him from the side? Did he pierce someone's bottle by accident with that swing?
 
The Dead Island videos are awesome, especially the first one.

My favourite isn't a trailer per se, rather a commercial, but it's so well done, you've got to love it:



The Super Smash Bros. one always makes me laugh:

that's how you open up ketchup bottles in the Witcher world, when your girl asks you again to open them because of how difficult it is to remove the cap.
 
All of the Witcher 3 trailers are awesome. Well, I think that one is the exception. It's good, but not awesome to me. Overly cool action fight.
