The Czechs scoop the world: new Fallout 3 screenshots

Ctaylor, my only regrets about FO guns are that they werent ALL generic. other than that, i absolutely loved them.

as for the deathclaw thing... i do think it has to do with their epic status and their prominent role.

to push it in extremely sillyness: how would you like a dragon movie with hairy dragons?

Actually, I disliked that about Fallout. It was like in Goldeneye where the PPK was "PP7" and the AK47 was "KF7", it just rang hollow, and in my opinion took you out of the game a little bit.

"Neverending Story", bitch.

Though Draco pwns Falkor the Luckdragon anytime :P It's the worm-like "dragons" from Reign of fire that pissed me off the most.

Ok, ok. Cutting the silyness in three, two...

ctaylor- were you responsible for putting the FN P90 in Fallout 2?
I have always wondered why it used 9mm ammo when it could have been 5.7x28mm like in reallife and been another cool niche ammo like caseless. Armor piercing too!

Yes, they should have, like moved 70 years forward in time, buy a weapon history book and use real life weapons from the future  .

Nope. I wasn't part of the FO2 design team. About the only thing I did for FO2 was write the manual.

for me, being generic was another way to clearly show that the FO timeline and the real world timeline were not the same. on top of that, scientific advancement was very different.

as such, you wouldn't see the exact same weapons, though generic weapons with remote likeness of a real weapon would be fine.

It explains why Fo2 world was suddenly full of RL weapons and why their descriptions were in different (less elegant) format than those from F1.

Wait a minute, the did have the Glock plasma pistol, and the Winchester Plasma rifle, so they weren't *totally* generic.
those are brandnames Ranger...

not actual models.

personally i don't care if it says Colt, Winchester, HK or Glock. even with those names, things can be generic since it's just a name. Samuel Colt, Oliver Winchester (together with Horace Smith and Daniel Wesson), Edmund Heckler & Theodor Koch, or Gaston Glock for those not so 'into' guns.

half of those were already dead by the time the FO timeline split off from ours anyway.
