Hi UJ, nice to see you around. How's family?

Dammit- like the cannon. But don't moderate a moderator. That's unappreciated.

Family is fine , now living in Ottawa.
How's your hot wife? any kids yet?

i wasn't moderating a moderator, i was moderating an administrator. :P

tracked APC aren't all that fun, the M113 and/or M114 were actually used as a table to write the old testament when they first wrote it.
Wheelled APC are ok...The Dingo is my favorite.

I've got one of these, mine doesn't have the nifty creedmore sight on it though. Actually, mines got a number of differences, but it's an honest to God Sharps. You can't go no better.

Vicious Squid, stop spamming up the board with your one word posts and your tacky signature.

Behold. All I need is the glass and a few boxes of 69gr and 77gr, then she is off to the range.

More AR goodness for you all.

Edit again: Sorry for the crappy pics, you get the idea.

i'd never even consider a gun like that, but if you live in bearcountry, it might be handy ofc. but i dont.

Actually, that'd be about the last thing I'd wanna take in bear country. (.410 vs. Bear? No thanks, I prefer winning) I just thought it was a snazzy little gun.

Two newest additions, the M1A Socom (nifty little M14 cutdown with some slight issues, made some modifications and swapped out the bolt and now its a wonder) and the Sig X-Five

(pic is from their site, since I haven't snapped a shot of mine yet, though I've swapped the grips for some even nicer Rosewood ones) in .40 cal, which shoots like a fucking dream but cost a fairly good amount even second hand.

euhm, i thought that gun could load both .410 and .45 Long Colt?

the latter should be enough for a bear if the SHTF.

i'd prefer a rifle though ofc... but still.

i've shot an X-five. very fucking nice gun. a bit expensive though...

PhredBean, how much did you pay for your M1A SOCOM?

Edit: PhredBean, also, what do you think of the .308 ARs? DPMS, Armalite, Rock River, ect. Do you own any?

Edit again:

El prez, I saw your pistol in one of your other threads, is it the same size frame as a full size 1911 just with a shorter barrel? Is there a mil-spec Springfield Champion or just the "GI" and "Loaded"? If so, it would be perfect for me.

Wow, edit again:

I am actually thinking of getting an AK. I was just wondering, for the $500 price range what is the best (most reliable) AK I could get (7.62x39) ?

$700 used, excellent condition, I'd personally guess the idiot plinker that sold it to me fired no more than 20 rounds through it before he decided he didn't like the recoil, which to me is nearly nothing.

No, I don't. I have a SA58Elite and a SA58TAC upper receiver I'll swap onto it. Next I'm looking into a MK11 Mod0. I don't have a single assault rifle in .223, nor do I ever plan on getting one. Though I am looking at a AR15 variant firing .270WSM

Maybe I'm thinking in terms of cowboy action loads, but I thought the .45 LC was a tad on the anemic side. Now, If it was ultra versatile they'd strengthen it to be able to shoot .454 Casull rounds as well. THEN I'd never feel undergunned no matter where I went.

Its beautiful! Fun to shoot, amusing to see reactions to it's report half a mile away. ^,,^

Working on buying a shotgun myself, maybe a Russian rifle too. Going to school is a little higher on my priority of spending though. Dang Europeans with your state schooling :P Which is just like my university if you take advantage of abundant government grants.

[..]I doubt you will find an HK rifle used by a great power in those days.[...]

I find this stamement highly offensive and wrong. :|

Especially since the Heckler & Koch G36 is employed by the Bundeswehr. A sexy rifle <3
