I have no real use for one, just always thought they were cool. Pissing off all the hippies who get butthurt about people being able to buy such things is also a +.

I bought one and loved it so much I bought a second one. Although ammo availability has made me slow down on playing with it.

It's been my personal experience on-line and in RL that the majority of euros are either ignorant of firearms, scared of firearms or outright against individual ownership or some combination of the three if not all three.

You apparently don't know Europe very well. It's as diverse as the United States actually.
Finland has more liberal laws on firearms than the US from my experience.

Okay, I'm lately making 90 % of the posts here, and I promise this will be my last one for quite a time.
The Sig is a bit out of my league in terms of money ATM. But I made quite a deal in the last week.
I sold my 1911 for a substantially higher amount of money than I originally paid for and got myself this:
A used Rossi .357 Mag with an 4" barrel for < 100 €.
I named her Rosie
Rosie is somewhat like my aunt: ain't much of a beauty, but rugged, down-to-earth, and really packs a punch.
[and please no barrel-is too-short-for-magnum bullshit, it's a hunting sidearm, not a range toy]
