the Master: was he evil?

Yeah I noticed very few things that didn't make sense in fo1. Thats a massive accomplishment for a game of that scope.
Agreed. Everything was connected in a manner that made sense, and stayed consistent throughout the game. I have yet to find a major inconsistency in the game.

Well there's the little matter of why deathclaws are only well known in the bonyard and nowhere else. Seems weird. Also how the hell did the master get from mariposa to LA? And zax's info on fev contradicts vree's a bit but otherwise the game presented very few unanswered questions.

Remember the Far Go Trader's quest? The one where you have to find out what's killing their caravans? They mentioned deathclaws meaning that they know what they are. It's probably because the Boneyard people just think those Deathclaws are more mutated beasties, who honestly are pretty out of the way.

Travelling? Maybe he went through a mutated stage akin to the mutants (but less extreme) before he began to degenerate.

I don't like maybe-s. It's a question the game never bothers to answer. And it occured to me that the towns are pretty isolated so that could explain deathclaw thing... But the vree/zax thing I got nothi- wait isn't vrees data based on the FEV-2 virus that the master uses as opposed to the batch that zax is familiar with? Never mind apart from that bit about the master the game is flawless.

Well, not everything in life will be answered. I know it's a weak excuse, but I feel that explaining everything makes the game feel sterile, or boring.

i think Vree's report was erroneous.
She was right about the sterility though which would be a major problem in the Unity plan. Aside from the joke from Marcus (it was confirmed to be a joke), the sterility issue seems to hold up and that is the most important point to gather from the report when confronting the Master about the futility of his plans.

Fallout 1 is one of those perfect games.
It's a "Near Perfect Interplay Game" if you will.

Agreed, it really has little problems. Apart from the combat... we need a challenging tactical cover based combat.

I'm okay with the Combat.
I do admit, I like the Combat in Wasteland 2 (which kind of is Tactical Cover Based Combat).
The only issue where Combat becomes a problem is Fallout 2 (and that's due to the length of the game).

I'm not. Taking thirty shots to take down someone while being armed with a rifle is... dodgy to say the least.

I see your point.
My issue was fighting about six enemies with your companions. If you were allowed to take control of Companions in combat, all my issues would be fixed.

Oh yeah companions were... even if you couldn't take control for realism please just make them smarter and have more orders (go there, shoot him, retreat) that they may, or may not (depending on loyalty) follow well.

I kept dying in F2 because one companion kept shooting the enemy that was furthest away from me with full health rather than the weak one that could die in one shot which was right next to me.

I somehow got away from that with luck and patience.

Yep, they need an overhaul.
