The 'MrMattyPlays' Fallout 4 Review "A Near Perfect Game"

I do when they're just dumb. Like a Radscorpion shooting a thousand feet into the air. Though, this series has been buggy from the word go. It's almost a back of the box feature, especially under Bethesda's care.

Because Bethesda.

Because we LOOOOVE bugs.
Yes indeed and considering the fact that I've encountered so many bugs in a fallout 4 it's ridiculous. Played through Fallout 1 again last night and only encountered one bug which consisted of that Killian quest to get evidence off Gizmo then take him out, game bugged out and had me do those quests twice but it was something to chuckle at. Unlike the bugs I encountered in 4 like where I'm constantly reloading the game whenever I exit a terminal and get stuck into place for example(happens to me often).

Never had a bug in Fallout 1 and 2. Only a few loading bugs in New Vegas.

If it's not a Bethesda Fallout I get little to no bugs, when it is I get tons of bugs. I think the Piper swimming in mid air bug is just plain silly, that was the only one I recall being funny.

Honestly, the game is shit everywhere. Even as a combat walking sim it's bad, but perhaps that's my opinion? After Farcry 3 my standards on first person shooter combat has risen highly. Damn, even though I dislike the genre the combat is so good.
fallout 4 is the jack of no trades. Atleast when I buy a call of duty or assassins creed I know I'm going to get a decent story with alright gameplay. It even fails at trying to be like borderlands like wow fucking whoopee I got a cane that does more damage when I'm withdrawing from drugs or a shoulder piece that helps me picklock even though its easy as fuck already, I don't understand how people say that system is addicting

Agreed, it's all pretty bad.

You know these pipe guns remind me of the Borderlands 2 Banditz guns made from junk. I don't get the point in these silly enchantments like "leg piece of run 10% faster". Yay a leg piece that makes me run slightly faster that would totally help me and make a difference. My "irradiated minigun" that shoots radiation too. I mean what is this I don't even...

Skyrim enchantments man, magic gunz and shit. Kids dig it.

Or a piece of wood that can freeze people. A FUCKING PIECE OF WOOD THAT CAN FREEZE PEOPLE.

Skyrim lives again.
I'm also wondering how you can create a weapon that shoots radiation. Are the rounds coated with radiation(however that works) or is the receiver magical?
I can go with that sort of thing but when you start talking about Wooden Boards of Freezing you start to lose me. That's the point where the sci-fi nerd in me simply can't understand it.

And there's a lot of magical weapons in the game that don't make sense from even a sci-fi/suspension of disbelief standpoint - there's a Neverending Rifle that you never have to reload, for example. It just makes the game a childish arcade game at that point.

Wacky weapons like the alien blaster and radiation guns are fine in my book because you can fit that in with the writing. But you cannot explain a hunting rifle that you never have to reload.

That would actually be well within the realm of possibility, I mean it would just be like a flashlight except instead of releasing visible light it would release gamma waves.
