Tim Cain and Chris Taylor on Fallout 3

Well, there is at least one Van Buren dev and one Fallout Tactics dev who do talk publicly about what they dislke in Fallout 3. They do so more as fans than as devs, though.

But Section8 is out of the industry, and Puuk is just Puuk...have you seen how huge that guy is? He can afford to piss people off, 'coz nobody messed with Puuk :P

But sure enough there are exceptions. But obviously Puuk posting his thoughts here is not on the same levels as Cain being interviewed by Edge. This story is spreading, in oddly alarmist tones on some websites.

for me, I think it was a smart move. He was pretty neutral on it. Plus, if he is ever working on any future Fallout IP projects, outright bashing of a game he's never laid hands on wouldn't sit well with his "Possible" future employers at interplay.

That'd be nice wouldn't it?

Fuck, everyone these days is working on a mmorpg.

God I loathe that Genre

It must be heartbreaking seeing their vision go in a totally different direction, and not being able to nurture their creation because of monetary limitation. And watching big rich Bethesda do whatever they want with it and having no say. :(

I wonder if they actually have the game pre-ordered, of if they're just being politic.

I'd play it anyway, but the PIPBoy clock won me over.

BLASPHEMY!

Permission to find your order and cancel it?

Permission denied! ^_^

I will say this, if I don't like it, you won't hear anything from me. If I do like it, I'll say so honestly.

Dude, now you're officially sanctioning us interpreting silence as dislike.

You know us, we'll run with it as rabid dogs with a bone.

Oh joy.

does Bethesda has the rights to make Fallout MMO too?

No, Chris Taylor and Jason Anderson are working on that over on Interplay, tho' it's not been announced yet.

Chris -

I would like to say "Good Job" for taking a high road, and we know you're going to hate it.

HATE IT.

I have this mental image of you hauling out the Pipboy, glaring at the CD, then tossing it over your shoulder in disgust, while lovingly gazing at your new clock.

hmmm, oh yeah...according to The Vault they are working on an MMO project called Project V13...

its hard to presume what they are working on...R.E.A.L.L.Y hard...

I would scream "HERESY!!!!!" and call the mob and get those torches and pitchforks ready and up running to burn the witch, but...

It would be the equivalent of a mob calling THE POPE a witch. So no.

And those opinions are actually quite reasonable and I agree with them. I think Fallout 3 is less like "The Sequel to Fallout 1 and 2" and more like a alternate universe reboot, "Ultimate Fallout", so to say.

Fallout 3 is more like "a post apocalypse nuclear Oblivion" to me...

*sings something about Mirelurks and their similarity to Mudcrap.*
