I get like million "you have received small dose of radiation" (or something similiar) messages when wandering in world map.. is this bug or normal behaviour?

Eat any healing Fruit lately?

As a matter of fact I did... but I don't think it's normal that those messages kept coming even after I used RadAway and visited several other places and encounters?

Sequence?

It says that Agility modifies Sequence, but playing in the character creation screen, I've failed to see it modify in any way.

Why doesn't Falche2 editor work with killap's patch?

I've heard this before, but I use Falche2 constantly to test things and it always works. So, not really sure what to say.

And is the AGILITY-Sequence a bug or something?

RadAway would not affect it, and I think the delay is long enough that you at least have time to leave a location and travel a bit on the world map. Fruit technically works like any other drug with one instant effect (healing) and one timed aftereffect (the radiation increase).

Where is "it"? I'm pretty sure Perception modifies Sequence.

I got a problem with "Find Chip's spleen" mission in San Francisco tanker. When I have spoken to Dr. Fung to do the operation and tell Chip about it, he says "come back in a day" or something. But when I come back after 24 hours, Chip isn't there. Even If I'll wait longer, he still isn't there. Any solution?

He does walk off the screen when you tell him, yes? Well, send me a save game. Use the address found in the readme.

I'm pretty sure too, but pressing on Agility and reading its description in the character screen displays that it modifies Sequence. Is that a bug?

It does in fact read like that. Perhaps a typo on the devs part?

Beats me. But to way of think of it, it does makes sense that Agility affects sequence (more than Perception to me).

What does the Fallout Bible and/or the Manual say 'bout it?

Yes, he walks. I've sent you the savegame file.

<huge quote pyramid SNIPPED by evil mods, don't do that>

Well, the Manual has no reference to Agility modifying Sequence, there's no trace of it in any Fallout Bible and I can't find anything 'bout it anywhere (online). I guess the only rational remaining thing is - it's a typo. Is there a way to fix it?

It's just seems somewhat logical that Agility modifies Sequence... to me. AFAIK until recently I had no idea that actually Perception does it, and not Agility.

It probably is a typo. Even if they did mean for Agility to modify it, making it do so is out of my reach. I think that text can be edited quite easily unless it is a frm file. It might be but I won't know until I look.

It's in stat.msg, easily edited.

I'd like to try editing Fallout 2 a bit myself (or at least see the files). How can I do that (I just see this "critter" and "master" files... and have no idea how to "open" them)?

So have we come to the conclusion that it is indeed a typo? I mean since it doesn't affect sequence, it makes sense to remove it.

You have to use an undat program to extract the contents of those dat files. See the downloads section here at NMA.

Bug Report

Just finished playing through Fallout 2 yet again with killap's June 11 2007 patch (US version A). Thanks for all your hard work in fixing Fallout 2. However, I did encounter some bugs, namely:

1.After buying the car back from T-ray, getting the upgrade and then asking to buy batteries, the screen fades out and back in and a second message about having the car upgraded appears in the status window.
2.Not necessarily a bug, but the Just Talk option at the Cat's Paw counts as having sex.
3.It's possible to get the "Vault city stagnates due to lack of power" and the "Gecko trades power to Vault City to help it expand" ending at the same time.
4.My character could tell Elise (the ranger woman) that Karl sent me, despite never having spoken to Karl or even knowing of his existence.
5.Karl didn't open Oswald's cell door after I offered to persuade him to talk, he walked over to the door and "The door appears to be locked" showed up in the status window.
6.Speaking to Moore, despite never having spoken to him before, in Vault City after killing Bishop has Moore behave as if he's asked me to deliver the briefcase and the replies on offer indicate that he asked Bishop to kill me on delivery.
7.The Guardian of Forever encounter showed up as Unknown on the world map until I re-entered it and exited again.
8.Encounter "A band of ruffians led by a Morton Brother" near New Reno, but the Morton Brother didn't show up on the map (should have been Snake). Probably a one off bug though, because I reloaded and the next time I got the encounter Snake showed up.

I got Gigolo without having sex, just have the quest for the Cat's Paw magazine... Weird

@killap

Agility affects Action Points if I recall correctly - might want to change the message to something regarding that.

I'm not 100% though as I am at work and can't check it.
