Fallout 2 mod Unofficial Fo2 patch thread - problems, reports, suggestions

Well the Grisham/married status and the NCR caravan car bug (if it extends to the brahmin drive as I assume) are actually big enough to add somethign to a new playthrough.
Are you just stating that the fixes in this update are enough to make it worth doing another playthrough? Or were you saying something else?

Btw, didi you choose your successor to keep the patches/restoration packs going?
There is no successor. If you've been waiting for the super-duper-mega-final version, well just play the damn game with my patch/mod already. It's as done as it ever will be. If there will be more updates, then well, they'll come from me.

Since we're at page 69 anyway, maybe killap could start a new thread?
Yeah, I suppose I could make a new unofficial patch thread, well specific to Fallout 2 that is.

Just stating it for these two in particular. Last playthrough I got married (was playing with miria mod) before doing anythign else in modoc (or being equipped to) so I got cut off from a few quests, and if the car thing means I reach the brahmin drive destionation with a car it also changes things for me because I always do the brahmin drive.

The others are all fine fixes and probably took work, but after a million playthroughs what I'm looking for is the few gameflow fixes. It's nobodies job to make them, and you did release the core files, so I guess I'll have to finaly get around to trying to make them myself. (Unless stuff has been done in this direction and I missed it in the documentation).

Well, i know you said in the past that no further updates to RP would come from you so i asked that because maybe you had someone in mind to keep the project going, there wasnt any need to be fucking harsh with me because of it.

here wasnt any need to be fucking harsh with me because of it.
I apologize if it seemed like I was directing anger towards you. That wasn't the intent. I've just gotten the impression over the years that there are people waiting and waiting for the best possible release, like they expect updating to continue forever. It's frustrating to me. I just wanted to make it clear that one should really not wait anymore and just play the RP already.

Wanna thank you for all the hard work killap, I personally take every release as an opportunity to play the game again.

Found a bug in UP script sources. The scripts.h header file is missing a #endif // SCRIPTS_H at the end.
And condtion.h has the same trailing space problem as RP one.

Some Enclave troopers enter in a standing freeze status when I kill them. I don't know if this is a "normal" unfixable bug or something.

Must say I'm not playing with the UP as is. I've packed all the files in a custom patch000.dat and I'm not using sfall. Don't know if this has something to do with the bug, but the game seems to run flawlessly.

I should mention that I haven't patched the master.dat file with those 3 .pro files. Talking about this, I can't find info about why this must be done, so it would be good if someone can clarify it.

When I try to put 1024x576 into the custom resolution field (hi-res patch config utility) and start Fallout, I get the error:

Error initializing video mode 1024x576

I did add this resolution via the Intel HD Graphics control panel. Am I missing something?

(I am trying this resolution because my native 1366x768 is too small.)

Edit: Nevermind. Just needed a restart :)

Be sure this resolution wont harm your monitor, as you can see in my signature i have intel too and i saw the warning that says we must be careful when choosing non-standard resolutions.

Guys don't know if this is just me, but i have sort of a sound bug in the bozar shot sound effect. When you fire with the bozar the burst attack (the only attack the gun has) sound effect is of a shotgun or similar not of the original machinegun sound.
This was in the unofficial patch 1.02.31.
