Fallout 2 mod Unofficial MIB88 MegaMod Gameplay Help

I could. I was thinking about it. But, there is so much from his work to try to include. It will take a while to add in everything from the RP. So, I'll release what I have, and then another one once I have the RP assimilated.

Hmm. I just started a day or two ago and I'm wondering if there's any reason to choose Warrior over Shaman. Seems like if you choose Shaman you get to make items you would have to have Hakunin make otherwise, but is there anything else than that? Can Warriors do anything particularly special?

I did read the guide on the Wiki but it didn't say anything about it.

@ GlowHound

Use Morticia's Guide instead. It's bigger and more updated (the wikia one is copied from there anyway).
Hunters can only do one special thing, learn to skin pig rats, which you can sell or use to make a Leather Armor MkII (though since you need 100% repair skill as well, the armor is usually already outdated when you can start making them). This was in the guide before but it looks like it got lost somehow.
Also, hunters gets a wicked 100 xp more.

Hunters can get either 4% to unarmed and melee or 12% to one of them.
Shaman can get 4% to doctor and science and 4% to unarmed or melee.

They are pretty evenly matched and it basically comes down to what you rater see your character as. An intelligent character is probably more likely to be a shaman, and of course females cannot be hunters.

Also looking at the guide I saw I forgot to collect info on the effect of the drugs a shaman can make and info on the envenomed knife/spear.
I'll get to it.

Ahh, that helps a lot.

Think I'll opt for the Shaman. Thanks.

Edit: Ehh, one more thing. Travelling on the world map is a bit too slow for me, how do I go about changing that?

How fast is your procesor? Maybe you have slow traveling turned on in that file ddraw.ini or something like that... I think you can do some changes there.

Ehhh, well it's a Intel Pentium III. 933 MHz.

I've looked in the ddraw.ini file since posting that and have found the two lines relating to world map travel. I just don't know exactly how much I should change them.

Faster procesor = faster traveling (with 3.0 Ghz you'll be at the other end of the map in no time without any encounter, so players usually looks for some programs for slow traveling).

I dont know if it will be possible to make your traveling faster. Ddraw.ini can only slow as far as I know.

Yeah, I'm also having the speed issue, I've tried to change the map delay function in the Ddraw.ini file, but no luck there. Well I've just picked up the car and that's a bit faster, but still...

Thing is, though, with vanilla Fallout it goes a lot faster than it does in the MegaMod. To my recollection at least. I haven't played vanilla Fallout in awhile, but I'm pretty sure.

Edit: Do any of the Navarro quests even work? Particularly the Vertibird one. Seems like I could wait for an hour, real-world time and Maria would never be done with her work. I really didn't want to have to do this by killing everyone.

megamod 2.34 (currently the latest version, right?) here.
I don't seem to find a way to get into the primitive tribe village
itself. I do enter to the woodland, but I only find another exit to the
map there. Here is a screenshot showing another exit were, imho, should be entrance to the village:

Any help appreciated.

Found answer to the problem mentioned in my previous message in Megamod 2.3 technical issues and suggestions thread. BTW, that HUGE thread REALLY S*CKS!

Hello and welcome back
I restarted playing Mega Mod and again encoutered a bundle of errors..

I really do enjoy the quests from COLD HEARTS, but I faced a problem with Jimmy the screw. I brought the Salvatores guns container and were pointed to escort Jimmy. When I entered the localization he send me back to report. But this encounter hasn't been marked on the map:( as few other special encontuers...
Fence told me to help him as long as need, but he is nowhere to be seen. I tried to look for him in new reno, with no result. I manage to find him in the Salvatores Stash location but he only repeats Good Job lets head out from the former fight... Any help???

Also the suggestion that the chich from the Broken Hills will support our cause is misleading. She doesn’t have the option in her dialog box.

That's a bug in vanilla Fallout. Just use the vault suit trick (remove armour) to get the stupid dog.

Any luck with new version?

Been busy with real life since I've made it back into the country. However, I am still working on it. Been having serious problems adding in the Colly mod. Talking to any new NPCs crashes the game, although everything works fine in the mapper. I'll figure this out.

Hmm acutally in orignal v.1.0 ;) I didn't have any problems in recruiting the dog.
Thanks for the tip with the suit. If ya attack the dog the enclave patrol man will materialize , after killing him u can have his hardened power armor lol

How about just releasing a bugfix release before adding new features? ;)

Well, it crashes with official 1.2 patch.
