Fallout 2 mod Unofficial MIB88 MegaMod Gameplay Help

I have absolutely no idea what could have caused him to stop repairing after Vault 15. All i can remember is that i went through most of the NKR's remaining quest's, then drove to Reno for selling some stuff, came back to the NKR and told him to wait there because i wanted to bring the cyber dog out of town. After that he rejoined, i drove to Vault 13, did everything i could do there and moved on to the military base.
There it began... he refused to repair.

Another strange thing about him was, that he didn't wanted to equip anything else than a 10mm pistol, a 44. handgun, an ak112 or ak198 assault rifle. Everything else was refused by him, even if it was the only small arms gun in his inventory and he was set to ranged only.
Btw, changing his armor won't change anything either.

i've no clue,the armor changing is a bug that will be fixed in next release

Game crashing on load

I have the latest Unofficial Patch applied, and Megamod 2.35.1 installed.

So I saved the game while I was under the affects of "smoking weed" and now every time I try to load, the game crashes with an application error.

Anyone have any ideas how I can fix this? I've been using the same save slot for a while now, would really hate to lose like 8-10 hours worth of game time because of this.

BTW the mod is pretty awesome. Thanks.


EDIT: Well I just realized that there was a version 2.4+ for megamod out. I'm gonna install it, hopefully it fixes my problem.

While it is true that "systolic" is a term used in reference to blood pressure, in this case it is just a random piece of equipment with no use.

It's not the only use of the word. Do a search. :roll: (It has a use in computer science/electrical engineering, too.)

Did the later version help your game? I can't think of a reason why the drugs would corrupt your game, though. Did you happen to have any interactions with Klint before you saved/exited the game (such as asking him to change/remove his armor)?
 
general hint,leads to some decent loot

[spoiler:3f320451af] use explosives on the ground in the salvator transaction map in front of the vertibird,this is scripting i did about 6 months ago(had fun doing it),do the transaction and wait for half the salvator gaurds to leave,the 2 remaining salvator gaurds and the enclave are very tough,the enclave have pancor jackhammers[/spoiler:3f320451af]

Abbey/Glow

Hey there!

Concerning the Abbey, i understood that i'm supposed to get the data from the vault city main computer, vault level 3 (where i also got the data for gecko). I have raised my science skill to 200 by now, and still i can't figure out a way to get the information -.- am i special or is there a dialogue option missing?

And i've found the glow down south on the map, however it's impossible to access it with a rope tied to the girder...
Is it actually accessible?

I already tried it that way, there are 3 possibilities:

-press crtl+alt+del
then delete secuity.exe, copy unaccessible "vaultdweller" folder;
when i chose to delete it and to copy the folder, i immediately
return to the game, i.e. the dialogue screen shuts down -.-

Bug?

-search for a reset switch :D
-hit the monitor (obviously not a solution)

I hope i just forgot something....

If you are asking if you are supposed to be able to access it by attaching a rope, then the answer is yes. If you are saying that you can't attach a rope to it, then read on.

You may have some missing/misnamed scripts. Check your data/scripts folder. Is there a file called tglwbeam.int? If not, look for a file called glwbeam.int, and rename it to tglwbeam.int.

Also, if you find that you cannot use the elevators inside, it may be the same issue. If you have a lot of scripts beginning with glw (NOT gl_), and none that begin with tglw, let me know what they are, and I will tell you what the names are supposed to be.
 
Thx for now^^

Now i'm able to attach the rope to the beam, but when i enter the hole, screen becomes black except for my char and the panel (weapons, hp, skills etc); and everything seen is multiplied, for example when walking around(which, strange enough, still works).

glw scripts without tgwl scripts:

glw12ent.int (though there's a tglwenter.int)
glwelup2.int
glwelup4.int


Same problem occurs when trying to access the slaver camp southeast of The Den

Maybe a similar problem?

Change the above script names to tglw12en.int, tglwlup2.int, and tglwlup4.int.

As for the ghost images, as I like to call it, that usually happens when you enter a map in which some of the proto files are missing. For example, if you enter a map that has a new item placed on it, but the proto file that has the info for that item been deleted, then you will have this error.

Go to the original archives you have of the MM. Find the data/proto/items folder and data/proto/critters folder. Recopy those archive folders into the same location of your game. Then, select all of the files in those two folders in your game and set them to read-only. If it says they are already read-only, uncheck the box, and click it again to make sure. Then go back and visit those locations.
 
I replaced the files and checked twice if they're read only,
but now it seems that all my savegames are damaged, everytime i try to load one, i get this rotten application error -.-

Note:
Got the saves fixed by myself; i replaced the item und critter .pro data in the data/proto/item+critter folder with the ones located in the savegame folders.

Though i still get the ghost images -.-

If you are missing proto files, then it is possible that previously saved games will not work, but I can't really see why that is. However, if really did what you said above, you didn't fix the problem:

If the proto files were originally missing, then copying from your save folder to the regular game folder does nothing. The missing ones would not be in your save folder if they were not in the regular game folder. Or, just as bad, if you had any corrupted protos in your savegame folder, then all you did was add the corrupted files into your regular game.

So, if you want to get to those locations, try as I said in the previous post. If your current game is more important, then just continue on. If you do as I suggested, please let me know what happens.
 
The glow

Hi guys, dunno if it is offtopic here, but i´d like to ask bout the Glow location. Havent played the MOD yet but I heard it was kinda half functional, some new critter, cool lightsabre, but the rest is dead. It was one of my favourite Falloutworld places, so before i install it and start playin , is there a chance it would be fully up n runnin in the near future ? thx
 
Assuming I am not going to replay fallout2 5 more times :) I am wondering when the authors feel I can play the game all the way through?

With the current release? Or is there a major feature/stability release coming soon?
