Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines

Uh.....do you know if you can actually become *human* again? Also, what choices do you have with character creation? Gender, breed, humanity and such? Think I can roleplay Carmilla?
Gender, clan, not humanity, a lot of stats that are built up well and work together. It's all out there on the internet, I think.
And you start out as a servant of the Camarilla, but soon you come into contact with the Anarchs and Sabbat, though I've yet to actually see a Sabbat who didn't want to kill me.
The Toreador have a strong humanity reaction to any shift in humanity, it happens twice as easily and twice as quickly. I'm playing a Toreador, and although my Vampire's walk looks really fucking gay, he's charming and persuading everything in sight. If I can give you a tip: persuasion fucking rocks.
Oh, and I think you can play the bisexual female hot vampire. At least the Toreador female model looks quite decent, and I don't think that that one vampire..well, you'll see. Go play it.

Bradylama: if you pay a bit of attention, you won't accidentally kill any innocents while feeding. Plus, you wouldn't want to. Walking around with no humanity means "The Beast" can roar up and take over easily. Meaning that you could be walking down the street, and the next minute you're tearing up everyone in sight without you being able to help it. That's quite sucky. Especially because that means you break the Masquerade, and if you break it enough times, it's game over. You can't stand up to every vampire and human wanting you dead.

In other news: this game still fucking rocks. I can't believe I'm liking this as much as I liked Fallout and Planescape: Torment. This isn't too good for my exams right now, though, but it is soooo fucking good.

I did pay a bit of attention, and that's part of the problem. I'd consistantly drain a little too much instead of completely and they'd die when I release them.

Yes, but screwing around with Dementation rocks even more :D

*possible spoilers*

Sander: is it possible to side with the Anarchs when you get to the downtown area? I'm pissed with that poncy LaCroix and his pet gorilla& laugh at them at every possible situation.
STILL i have to hunt down the f00king sarcophagus for the bastard...

O well, hollywood here i come

I haven't been able to so far. Vampire is a lot more story-driven than Fallout was, and so far, I haven't been able to give LaCroix the laugh, but I think I'll be able to soon enough.

finally got it. only played it for a good hour now, but i think i'm going to like it. the dialogs up til now have been pretty witty & the animations aren't bad at all :)

the controls need some getting used to though.

Im really liking what I hear, I just might get this.

This game is now officially elevated from "pretty good" to "damn good"
Only thing that i can really gripe about are the god-awful loading times.
*enter building*
*Wait 2 minutes*
*exit*
*wait 5 minutes*

Argh! Teh ADHD!

Do the normal things.

Tune down the graphical options, close programs running in the background (such as anti-virus software), defrag your hard-drive, make sure you have extra disk space, it should all help, to an extent.

Bradylama, is it a problem with your input devices? I've never killed an innocent, perhaps there is lag time with your controls?

Playing the game, I quite like it.

Spoilers:
By the way, anyone think that Gimble (the one who owns the prosthetics shop) was very similar to Doc Morbid?

Not to mention, I like the little details, this T-Shirt for example.

Thank god, I was finally able to get a copy after searching 4 different game stores. They hadn't even put the game up on the shelves yet, and the the guy at the register only knew what I was talking about because the box was at his feet. Unfortunately I have to work in 8 hours so it'll have to wait till the weekend. Lesson learned - if I'm really looking forward to a game, it's more than worth it to preorder it and have them deliver it straight to my house.

Okay...Sander recommends a game. That seems good to me. Then he gives in-depth review of it...now Im sold! Just the roleplaying elements and combat system sound good enough let alone the interesting setting. Graphics look great, but I couldnt care less. Hopefully I wont have to upgrade my PC.

Oh and as for the hot bisexual female vampire with high humanity...YOU STOLE MY IDEA!

Hissssssss!,
The Vault Dweller

Wow.

This game is hotter then I could have imagined. That one Malkavian is so fapfapfap worthy, I fealt like taking my pink torpedo in seconds.

I'm a bit confused. Where do I go for real jobs?

What? What do you mean by that?

*Spoilers*

If you are the start of the game (you are speaking about Jeanette, right? Wait until you meet Tourette!), you have the Prince's mission to carry out. Easy enough to figure out the sequence of quests to finish it, it's all laid out for you really. Have you met with Mercurio? Other than that, there are plenty of quests to find, wander in all the buildings and generally talk to people. The Bondman has work for you, as does Knox the Ghoul(you meet him outside the clinic, later in the Asylem). Down on the beach you can talk with E. the thin-blood for a job. Make sure you also read your e-mails and look at an edition of the paper. You will get new e-mail as time goes on, so it's worth going back and checking from time to time.

Damn, this makes me more horney the more I hear.

I soooo fucking want this.

Now I just have to wait til I have time to buy.....

I've been playing it for hours and hours now and I haven't had a single problem with the game being buggy. For me it runs perfectly, great framerate, great sound, looks great (everything highest) load times are short. *shrugs* I don't know what everyone is complaining about.

Yet more info: the game is much more story driven than Fallout, and it hence has less freedom. Some of it is starting to annoy me a bit (like still not being able to give that LaCroix the laugh), but the story is great, and why you do everything is explained well. I would've preferred more freedom, but the game wasn't made with the idea of freedom, but with the idea of roleplaying, and it does allow you to play any role really well.
And now I'm going to go finish the game. I'll see you tomorrow. ;)
