Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines

If times wrong, wolfie gets in with you, or doesnt get thru.

Ok, a problem....... relatingto fat larry

Parking garage quest

Ive killed everyone, but cant grab ANY of the breifcases to comlete the quest.

it's the one next to the car ... not the one the gangsters are holding in their hands

Ah........... ok. Thanks, Ill go and retreive it next time I play.

EDIT - worked. Thanks. Odd though, Fat Larrys selection doesnt change despite his saying youll get his select merchendise........

sigh, i need help. I'm in the kuei jin's fortress and I'm stuck. I jumped down where this waterfall thing is and there's a barricaded door. Now I understand that i'm supposed to push the door, and yet nothing happens when I do. Is there some way i'm supposed to activate the door so it moves? Do i press e or actually push the barricade? I tried both to no avail in either case. Sigh, please help. :)

I just used the " noclip " Console command to get thru.

Also....... Ive found a FO easter egg. No disputing this one....

sigh, after about 20 million pushes, i finally got it moving, seems it was by sheer luck i hit the right position.

After finishing the game, I've mixed feelings. On the one hand, I loved the game. The ending was very cool as was much of the story. However, the game seemed a little too linear for my liking. I would have liked more freedom as to which sides I supported besides the last hour of the game.

However, thats nto to say the game disappointed me. I'm actually looking to restart in about 30 seconds with a new character :). Sigh, I just wish I could have played more on the various sides.

my favorites are Gangrel (although the rastas suck) & Tremere.

as for the door thing, lilfyffedawg, usually a save + reload fixes the prob.

I heard people were having a problem with the door too. I didn't though, did everyone install 1.2? maybe that helps.

After finishing it I came away thinking that is was too easy. As a Tremere I just blood salvo'd all the bosses to death, they were never any real problem. Although getting chased by a werewolf got my adrenaline pumping like no game in recent memory!

I for one think this game is just itching for an expansion pack. It would be cool to do a GTA:SA kind of theme for Bloodlines, maybe mix in some 'From Dawn til Dusk' Mesoamerican action too!

/two disjointed cents

They need to add it a LOT more true RP element to it..............

As well as adding in actual time, so you have to retreat to your haven before daybreak.

I spent my experience points on Melee and Dodge instead. It was certainly fun walking through the Kuei-Jin Monastary and everyone (but those damned fire-crossbow monks) would swing and miss repeatedly! Next time 'round I'll play a much more discipline-oriented Tremere; blood boil all the way...

Although that won't be until I get my new system. I swear I spent half my time looking at fucking load-screens. :violent:

I hate how many rpgs nowadays give you more experience and reward for doing a mission diplomatically or silently. that's so bull. it's very preachy. i'm 19. i don't need people telling me how to act anymore! there were a few times in this game where you got a few extra points for doing so.

I think those types of missions are meant to reward players that put more points in noncombat stats, as they usualy do less combat quests/have harder time with them.

Im doing my 3rd playthru currently, gotta say this is a decent RPG: If you actualy RP rather than kill everything, which quite a few people dont seem to understand. Its funny, on this other fourm I post on the game was getting flamed because "OMGz!!1 you cantz do everythingz in a single playthruz!" or some bullshit.

you can't do everything in a single play thru? i got the impression that i finished every quest in the game. :-\ i'm replaying as a chick toreador (originally a male malk). it doesn't seem that different so far, except this time i played janette with the seduction lines. we shall see after the dane if i can get her in bed. :devious grin:

Some things are clan specific, and some are gender specific.

Theres also some things where one choice precludes taking another line of action.

Has anyone else had the prince have to dominate them to go the to the liz Dane ?

EDIT- has anyone chose to side with the mob aginst the confession owner ? Does he give any aditonal quests ? if so, dont say what, just wana know if its a "kill-pay-leave" mission

blood boil was quite the awesome spell to use. I never reached mass suicide :(. I only discovered suicide near the end of the game and was surprised how easy it made things. That and flame throwers, the ultimate kill vampie weapon.

I'm really interested in getting the tactical nuke from mercurio :-D.

O and one last thing... does anyone else think sneak is WAY to overpowered? With hardly a point in it, my tremere was able to sneak up on almost every baddie.

Playing through the game again now as a nosferatu and it certainly is different.

euhm it's not sneak thats quite as powerful

it's the fact that stealthkills are ALWAYS succesful (& silent, even if the body gets smashed 20 meters down the hall with a sledgehammer).

they should've integrated some HtH/melee skillcheck to see if you could take the enemy down in one swing/stab/headlock...

aye yes, thanks for the correction. My brother would laugh when I'd kill a character RIGHT next to another one, but since I was "sneaking" the character hadn't the faintest idea what was going on. It made a lot of the later levels much easier.

Did anyone do the Tawni mission for Imala ?

Ive done it w/o getting caught, Tawni appears on the cover of the paper for the Llama sex scandal, but Imala is still bitching at me for failing.
