Vault 12 comic - The Forum Thread

So yeah.

(image is the link)

I revamped the website a little bit, fixed some stuff I should've fixed five years ago, removed the commentbook (still thinking what should I replace it with) and added the EXTRAS subpage, where I'm going to post all the weird stuff related to V12 -- starting with some old fallout fanart some of you might or might not remember.

Good to be back, guys!

Coolies.

Welcome back!

Good to hear that! I like organizing this stuff after all this time, I enjoy it way more than I expected I would.

Can't wait to post new v12 stuff I accumulated during those 5 years, though.

Necro thread!

I really don't want to be a stick in the mud, and the FEV and radiation stuff was obscure yah, but I think it was pretty explicitly stated that V12's original Overseer was banished not killed, in fact the Bible said he did it volentarely so Set wouldn't make him take a dirtnap.

He seemingly died of overdosing Rad-Away/Rad-X, not got killed by another person. Could be that Set (or someone else) translated the event as that the Overseer left them on free will, since he took the medication himself and "left" the vault in someone elses care.

Little bit of imagination is needed, since one must also remember that history is written by the victors, not the losers.

Well I was more referring to the bit in the fallout Bible where it's mentioned that the Overseer literally fled north or else Set would kill him

Just read the comic and I really enjoyed it. It fits perfect the atmosphere in a vault and is done in a professional way. Moreover, I like that you have a good story line.

Bump ... I guess.

Hi guys!
I was browsing through some old files and found this little thing:
xulm_v12extras_8_a.png

So I decided to add it to extras on V12 and update the page a little bit. (http://xulm.nma-fallout.com/vault12/extras.php)
Also, I thought it'd post it on the forum and use it to touch base with everyone here. How's life, guys?

By the way, the comic got lot of hits lately, I don't know why. Maybe a new game is coming out or something.

Hey! Don't mean to be a necromancer or anything, but I've read this comic several times and I have a few questions.

It's obvious that the Officer is Set, but where is his son, Typhon, during all of this? Have Lenny or his father Coffin Willie appeared as characters? It was said that Lenny was a medical officer in the vault, but I doubt the doctor shown is him.

Hi! I planned it, but in the end I didn't include any Fallout 2 characters in the comic, even if just to have a smaller cast (which still got quite big for such a short story).

Cheers!

Just had a look! Great work mate, very impressive! Though it can be a bit vague and the dialogue sometimes feels stilted, as if they're not really talking ot each other... otherwise fantastic stuff, keep it up!

Man, the things one can miss out on in this forum. Impressively dedicated style there, I couldn't do that, I've always been impressed at this kind of deliberate and precise stylicism

Thanks! There are obviously thing I would do differently if I did it now (it's from 2007 after all), though I have call it a day if for now.
Though I've been working on a quite similar project lately (besides SUPERHOT), a Super Science Friends: 2099 Webcomic! It just might be right up your alley.
