Vault-Tec Workshop Pics

200 years is a long time. At some point I'd start digging.

How on earth is she supposed to do that, crazy? It's not like she's got a giant, powered earth mover ... twelve feet away ...

Overseer in the Fridge. The prequel to Kid in the Fridge. "Writers have fun ok? Not interested in realism in a post apoc game with talking mutants and zombies."

No, no, no. They know exactly what they're doing. This is a 'fuck you' from Emil for raising such a shit about kid in the fridge in the first place, and generally not accepting him and his new Fallout lore 2.0

Bethesda really went off the deep end with this paid mod DLC garbage.

I know most fanboys won't see it this way until Fallout 10 comes out and there's a "Press X to win" button with $100 of crafting "expansions" and their own required Bethesda Client required to run the game like steam or origin, but they're basically EA now in my opinion.

It's like they got together and said "Right how can we screw this up so much to alienate all Fallout fans? Let's make them wait 7 years, but make the game look like we only worked on it for 7 months. Let's think of a Fallout fan's worst nightmare about the new Fallout being dumbed down and lazy, and let's do that!"

Yup, but let's say she for some god forsaken reason can't get herself out by digging or by trying to pry open the door in any kind of way (nevermind that the sole survivor can magically fart out a vault) wouldn't she have gone insane from being locked away for 200 years? I guess that so long as ghouls don't turn feral they can't go bonkers. Except for the crazies in Fallout 1 and 2...

Man this DLC is just getting worse by the day for me.

looks fine. whatever. more stray content that makes no sense. ui looks the same. doesn't seem to give you some robot to excavate rudimentary interior cells at settlements for utility props and settlers to use for day/night crapola to mitigate triangle burden

not that it gave you a robot to build shit in the first place. you eat the scrap and without a blur to the screen and a blip to the gamehour it ejects meaninglessly from your uterus like shaun

also: for the last (of four?) workshop dlcs, it's still going to be basically incompatible with unmodded survival? or are they fixing things so you don't need to use the console to attempt to fix shit in a stupid buggy game you're wasting stupid amts of time on?

No, that's not how it works and where did you get the idea that Arkane could work on a potential Fallout sequel?
Optimism.
You forgot to mention MCA is working on Prey with Arkane.

Even then, that's a very, very, very, very, very tiny lil' bit of chance for Arkane, let alone with MCA, to ever work on a Fallout game. We're yet to see how Arkane's going to handle Prey (as it will be compared to the original), and we're still waiting for NMA's interview with MCA to ask what he thought about Prey.

I don't think that really raises the chances of Arkane working on a Fallout game, Bethesda has basically no reason to do so and the only thing we've actually been told about the potential for a new Fallout game from a different company (that wasn't PR speak) was that the chances of Obsidian, or anyone else aside from Bethesda, making a Fallout game were low.

Hey did anybody write a question about what MCA thinks of the changes made from the original Prey to the new one? Did anyone ask about MCA's role in development? Those are good questions for the interview.

Bethesda is going full on EA with this stuff.

They made this game to disappoint fallout fans. Why would they suddenly decide to give fallout fans what they want when they can just sell stupid contraptions DLC to ultra casuals?

These are the people that made fallout 4 a crafting-based offline MMO -they have no idea what fallout fans want (which is for Obsidian to once again save Fallout)

I know, that's why I said it's very, very, very, very, very x12371283219 tiny lil' bit of chance for that to happen, to the point that I think Half-Life 3 is more likely to happen than that *sigh*

I did. Feel free to reword it, too.

Anyway, @Irwin John Finster how's your Underrail playthrough? Seriously, at this point don't exhaust yourself with shit-talking FO4. That game doesn't even worth your attention. You'd better off happy with other games.

edgy snip
Edgy.

You mean she couldn't scrounge up six tin cans, a gear and some oil and make herself one of these?

You just don't have the imagination to play a Bethesda game. You should play Call of Duty instead.

Still experimenting with different builds. Can't decide if I want to go Psion, Assault Rifles, or something else (because unlike Fallout 4 the stats actually matter in this game lol). Don't want to get caught in late game with bad character.

The good news is there is no shortage of actual RPGs to enjoy: Underrail, Age of Decadence, Pillars of Eternity, New Vegas, Wasteland 2, Torment: Tides of Numenara, Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2, Tyranny. Even Fallout 3 is better RPG compared to 4. That makes me optimistic about the future of RPGs in general.

The bad news is Fallout 4 is not one of them. The silver lining is that the game is disliked by so many fans that now maybe actual RPGs will be even more in demand.

Wait, so this Overseer somehow turned into a ghoul, waited for god knows how long for some schmuck to bumble along, somehow managed to have enough food, water and didn't go absolutely bonkers from the isolation.

Not only that but as pointed out before the SS, themselves a victim of Vault-Tec, just goes "Sure ok I'll help experiment on people!"

Building a shelter designed to protect its inhabitants from the nuclear apocalypse after said apocalypse out of scrap by hand? Stupid Pre-War government spending millions of dollars on construction, what were they thinking?

So, wait... The overseer turned ghoul and has stayed in the vault for 210 years doing what? Fiddling herself furiously?

The ghoul Overseer, do we know for sure that she's been locked in the vault for 200+ years? What if she was ghoulified while outside the vault and only gained entry later?

I hope that's how they explain it. But sadly that would actually contradict Fo4's internal logic now. Both Kid in the Fridge and Nick Valentine's side quest imply that Ghouls simply just turn into ethereal balls of energy, unaffected by time until the SS unlocks wherever they're hiding.

So a ghoul going, 'yeah, ghouls have to eat, drink, and shit, idiot. We're not undead mummies.' now, without going back and fixing those other quest, would just add more confusion than help at this point honestly.

Personally, i'm betting my money on her having like ten 'tell me more" options full of weak arguments on why it's totally scientifically plausible and not dumb at all to stand in the same spot for 200 years. And on the final investigate option, Emil is going to break the fourth wall and have her derisively say "So you're one of those pedantic assholes who need to get laid more, huh? Let it go."

Oh how I do truly enjoy basking in the void of hate that topics like these generate. It's a shame I can't use all this hate as a form of sustenance because I would be well fed.

I'm expecting BSG to start making additional "dlc's" with just as much effort, hell maybe they will include a dlc for brahmin armor?

There is already Dog armor on the base game. Armor for an immortal bullet sponge dog, FO4's mechanics are at odds with each other.

Well, to be fair here if the dog soaks up too many bullets it needs a nap so if it can soak up 'more' bullets before it needs a nap, then, weeeeeell... It's still the most useless fucking companion, get rid of it and hire Piper and get booty mods for her.
