Vault-Tec Workshop Pics

I got automatron as a gift, I just build a silly eyebot with a hat and legendary weapons (thanks mods) and don't bother with the talking pack mules.

That's some hardcore role-playing you're doing there. Now you and the robot can go roleplay Hubflower picking.

Well, to be fair here if the dog soaks up too many bullets it needs a nap so if it can soak up 'more' bullets before it needs a nap, then, weeeeeell... It's still the most useless fucking companion, get rid of it and hire Piper and get booty mods for her.
And then just start picking those locks to get your booty call!

Apparently when we build a vault using Vault-Tec Workshop DLC... We build it above ground?

Just watch from there...
Darn I forgot we can't post youtube videos starting in specific times... Well go around 36:40 and see it from there.

Doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose of a Vault though? A nuclear bomb shelter under tons of earth and reinforced concrete. You can't exactly call it a Vault if it is above ground but I guess this means that you can use the resources of the DLC to build Vault stuff above ground despite what the name of the DLC was...

They should have named this DLC as Mad Scientist Tools if that's the case.

Logic doesn't matter anymore. Notice on that video when the Bethesda guys were asked where did they took the inspiration for and why make this DLC and the answer was something like "Well... Because how cool is it to build your own vault?!"...

"Not interested in discussing logic when things are cool".

A vault built above-ground in some recession in the regional topography and then covered over might make sense? I sortof doubt that's what they're doing tho.

Also--well so maybe above-ground makes (slight) sense: why are we building a Vault centuries *after* the war and nuclear bomb threats--uh, while Vault-Tec and their technology and productive capacity is presumably ancient history? Is it discovered leftover construction protectrons with advanced programming helping you (I always wondered why there wasnt one locked in a pod you had to hack to activate at each workbench to help the settlement building system SOMEWHAT make sense)? Is the ghoul overseer an ancient pre-war genius... and magic user, capable of anything? Is the explanation worth looking up or is it just more depressing plot vacuity?

[edited to add:

Dickens Christ, this is an in-game character/enemy for the DLC? Is it a cloud or something?

further edit: oh, it's a screenshot of youtube video compression--now the prospects are EVEN LESS interesting]

I would say a nuclear bunker above ground doesn't make much sense, as you can't possibly shield your self from a direct hit. The heat of the explosion would instantly vaporize anything it gets in touch with. The epicenter of the explosion that is.

let alone starting to build a nuclear bunker after the bombs have already done their business--200+ years ago

in fallout history someone doing this would have to be a very devoted hobbyist like those wieners who larp out the american civil war on weekends, but with iq points

Bethesda is a AAA equivalent to a Chinese bootleg company. They are only funny if you enjoy spoofs. If you pay money expecting substance you are a damn sucker.
