If you remove everything that is shitty about MYFAROG (the ridiculous racism and the ridiculous mechanics) there'd be nothing left... So yeah, it'd be perfect for a major studio which tend to ignore absolutely everything of the source material.
Also, it would be hilarious to give MYFAROG to some super progressive studio and have them turn it into a politically correct wet dream just to piss Varg off. Maybe he'll stop making shitty Youtube videos and get back to making proper music then.

frankly i prefer volga bulgarian viking over their western cousin (sicilian norman might be an exception, i love them) simply because of how those glorified pirate butcher our land and dishonor our language, which made worse by norman of normandy. our language (Gailge) simply felt decline until perhaps around earlier 20th century (yeah those famine didn't really help either). The word "viking" is quite old, and was used including in the "viking age" itself, but it has changed meaning over time.
Litterally it means "bay-ling" - someone from the bay (vik) and originally described fjord-pirates, in an age much older than "viking age", basically marauding fjord-norwegians pillaging various stationary norwegian towns, using the elongated branching fjords to hit-and-run with efficiency

Later, when the viking-age begins, the term was used almost like the word "badass" is used, to describe fierceness, or efficiency in raiding and pillaging.
During this time it becomes a verb "to go viking"

Then, it goes out of use, and is forgotten - it probably becomes a word denoting primitive or barbaric behavior, a word of stigma, and remains kind of forgotten untill scandinavian romanticism, where it gets the meaning it has untill today: Any scandinavian person living between 800AD to 1100 AD
 
It's interesting because you can't really be Cossack. The closest thing to that are Ukrainians, as cossacks were actually a collection of Ukrainians, bandits, peasants who escaped from serfdom and men from the Don.

Legit though politics aside what's actually wrong with MYFAROG? I don't play those kinda games so I don't really know how to even check that kinda thing.

Its mechanics are just ridiculously convoluted. It's one thing to try for realism, but it's another to go for the most OCD realism possible. You just don't need page-long lists of modifiers for every single mundane action like walking or swimming. It doesn't help that the rule book is extremely poorly made with no index or discernable reason behind it. Varg has no experience with making PnP games, and it shows. Not to mention that English isn't his first anguage... And it's written in Papyrus.
I mean, if you like PnPs where you spend most of your time flipping through the rule book MYFAROG is probably your thing, especially if you like playing as a true noble Thulian on a quest to eradicate the inferior Koparmenn.

I want to make an RPG so hardcore you need to succeed at walking or standing. Failing will further result in an impressive array of various falls and stumbles
