Brian Fargo just tweeted the link to a first (short) sample of Mark Morgans music for Wasteland 2.

As promised... here is the first sneak of the Wasteland 2 music from the LA area.
You can listen to it on YouTube.

Clearly ripped off from the boss music on the secret snow cave level in TranssylManiac on the Sega Genesis.

On a seriouser note, listening to a 1-minute sound clip with various disjointed effects is kind of like looking at Wooz doing an early concept art doodle. It tells you he can draw, which is no more than what you were expecting.

Yeah, it is a work in progress, and it's one minute from a track that is 3 minutes long (I've heard it, obv :smug: ). Still, it already indicates LA will be one of the bleaker towns, with an eerie feeling, radio chatter, cults, the darkest location.

I like how it's a bit more industrial, too.

Very nice. It reminded me of Fallout in a way. Man this game still has me psyched up. I really like the way things are looking. I'm pretty sure I will love this game no matter what, so if they do somehow screw this up, I may have some kind of nervous breakdown or something. No pressure folks. :)

I'm not a fan of the fiddle or whatever high-pitch thing that wails in on the end. It's like the Survivorman impending commercial break diddy with some heavy bass.

I dunno, it seemed a little disjointed to me. Brother None - is this a straight 1 minute slice of the full 3 minutes or is it a cut and splice of the whole thing?

It's the first minute of a 3:34 song. It probably sounds a little disjointed because it's a work in progress.

Good to hear all that dick sucking payed off :P

I'm a pro, man. No one is better at it than I. Except Angry Joe.

First impresion : good but maybe a bit too much like fallout.
But after listening it +- ten times it really grows on me, i can perfectly imagine a desolate/mysterious/dangerous L.A.
Would have been a perfect music to the sleeper base in W1 too.
Another excellent piece from Mark Morgan, he got it right again.
I am very pleased :D
