What are your favorite albums?

First time out of the vault
What are your 5 (or so) favorite music albums? (out of curiosity)

Mine,

1: Communique, Dire Straits
2: Love Over Gold, Dire Straits
3: The Great Trucking Songs Of The Renaissance, TISM
4: Nevermind, Nirvana
5: London Calling, The Clash

All of the above are freaking awesome, amen.

Well, I was about to make a snide comment that we already have this thread, and another is not needed. But upon extensive search I am surprised to not find anything like it in GD. So carry on.

Fav albums, in no particular order
Pearl Jam, Ten
Filter, Amalgut
REM, Automatic for the People
Green Day, American Idiot. Dookie too
Eric Claption, Unplugged

Without any ranking:

The Beatles - The White Album
Nirvana - Unplugged in NY and From The Muddy Banks Of The Wishkah
Die Ärzte - Nach uns die Sintflut and Wir wollen nur deine Seele
Die Toten Hosen - Opium fürs Volk
Green Day - Dookie
The White Stripes - White Blood Cells

This is a toughy, but I'll narrow it down to the five albums I listen to most consistently:

American Nightmare - Background Music
Shai Hulud - Hearts Once Nourished with Hope and Compassion
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Wu-Tang Clan - 36 Chambers
Guns 'n Roses - Appetite for Destruction

Leonard Cohen - Live
Presidents Of The USA - Lup
Rammstien - All albums
Rage Against The Machine - Battle of Los Angeles
Nirvana - Unplugged In NY
Blackulicious - Blazing Arrow
SPM - Purity Album

mmm sure no one cares about my music taste and will likely never have heard of any of these but (in no order)...

After 7 - The Best of After 7
Tony Rich Project - Birdseye
Tony Rich Project - Words
Kci & Jojo - Love Always

Hrmmm and fighting for the fifth spot...
Brian Mcknight - Anytime
Boyz II Men - Evolution
7 Mile - 7 Mile

Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band
The White Album by The Beatles
Brighten The Corners by Pavement
Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Richard D. James Album by Aphex Twin

Now that's a great top 5 compared to all the crap above... :P

I'd have to think WAY to hard to pick my five favorite, so I will kind of go with Malk on this one and just list the five I am most listening to right now.

Still Remains- Of Love and Lunacy
As I Lay Dying- Shadows Are Security
All That Remains- This Darkened Heart
Atreyu- The Curse
Tim McGraw- Greatest Hits...(WTF?!?!)

Mohrg

Metallica - Master of Puppets

MoP probably is their best, though I'm partial to both the Black Album and And Justice for All

I usually keep live performances out of top album lists, but since everyone's shoving them in...Wait, since it's five or so I'll split into live and studio...

Live:

2. Rolling Stones - Flashpoint
3. Rush - Different Stages Live
4. Eric Clapton - Unplugged
5. Rush - Exit, Stage Left

Studio:
1. Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young - Deja Vu
2. Basil Poledouris - Conan the Barbarian OST
3. The Who - Tommy
4. Dmitri Shostakovich - Symphony no. 4
5. Neil Young & Crazy Horse – Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere

Nas - Illmatic
Cannibal Ox - The Cold Vein
Marvin Gaye - What's Going On
Jimi Hendrix - Electric Lady Land
Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine
Orchestra Baobab - Pirates Choice
Augustus Pablo - East of the River Nile
