What would Fallout mean for your home town ?

Considering I have F-22's buzing my house on test flights at this very moment, Im even more certrain I'd be vaporized.
 
I'm pretty sure I'd be screwed.

I don't know if the middle of Iowa would be a target . But I would make the best effort to be screwed anyway. Living in a college town the fist place I would run to is the sororities... Take a number and pray the guy in front of me doesn't take to long...

After that, if I was still alive, I grab a beer and a cigarette and get back in line :D

Just remember to follow the procedures in the Fallout manual. When you see the big mushroom duck under a desk, and if you survive don't drink glowing water :lol:

I live in Portugal and I don't think anyone would waste nukes here for any reason. And even if that happens, I'm about 100km far from Lisbon.
 
Well, I'm pretty fucked because the Chinese would probably hit the Panama Canal to keep US boat reinforcements from getting too quickly to the Pacific. The gringos did build a patriot missile base which was decomissioned in Ancon Hill (where the big flag is). I could also run to the coastway (big strip of concrete joining the Flamingo and Naos islands with the motherland. There is an elevator that would take me to an underwater depot. Provided I get there, that is. Trouble with Panama is that the damn gringos stuck their bases very close to the city: Howard AFB (where I currently work at Dell) is 30 Km from the city. Clayton, Albrook and Diablo are within 10 Km of the city. That is not counting the Canal's administration building and Miraflores locks controls, all which are less than 20 Km from the city.

I live about an hour or so south of Dallas/Ft.Worth so, the initial blast probably wouldnt kill me. Now the drunk driver THAT will kill me, then my body would be vaporized, but atleast that prick would get whats coming to him too....

I'm safely inside two red rings, the North Chicago and Chicago one, but I think I would survive. I spend most of my time in a basement, and it's not a far way to Madison, which looks safe.

The radioactive particles of matter (dirt, buildings, people, etc) that are vaporized by the explosion and carried into the air on the thermal wave. They get caught by prevailing winds and carried for miles before settling back to earth.

well, not only the wind really...

when chernobil blew, there was a wind to the east. yet in belgium (which is far to the west) we still measured an increase in radiation (although it was still within acceptable values).

they have yet to understand how these particles travel under certain circumstances (although they've made good progress).
 
I would die, If they hit the middle of the city the whole crap would be gone, Plus that there isn't any good shelters here. They are all old and are in the basements

holy SHEET. I looked up new york on that site and damn, there's essentially a bomb right on top of my city (poughkeepsie). I wonder why they wanna bomb us... we don't have much (at least to my knowledge).

naah, I think we're safe, all the mountains would probably take of some of the blast, and just be sure to have a fast and easy way of getting down to the basement :wink:

I live in the Ruhr-area.
It's not only the biggest german industrial area but also the largest and crowded conurbation in Europe...
I would be dead in a few seconds :(

sorry to revive an old thread, but oh well. I would be completely screwed. I am in southern indiana, dead center in one of the sites. There would also be several other nukes blowing up, Louisville mainly. Not even a shelter would save me. 6 Million Degrees Farenheit. The entire county + surrounding areas would be 1 giant smoking, radiated crater.
