What's Your Favorite Drink?

The electric margarita, no salt, on the rocks - not frozen.

tequila, blue curacao, sweet & sour mix.

If I drink too much, makes my temples tingle.

The Holy Kool-Aid.

Well, I guess I'd drink anything once. If I don't already know what it's like :D

Then head over to the Quaffer shots thread in the Order and think again.

I like beer the most.I mainly drink cheap rum though.Because its cheap and it gets the job done, even if it does taste like shit

I've been looking through the thread looking for suggestions on a good avec. In particular, I'd like to hear from someone who knows a good deal about rum. Brands that I'm pondering are Appleton Estate (Jamaican), Havana Club (Cubian), Rum Plantation (Barbadonian), Angostura (Trinidadian) and Saint-Etienne (Frenchian). Everyone's been naming Captain Morgan in the thread, but it doesn't seem very exciting (and let's not even mention the other one).

Bulleit and Maker's Mark sound interesting, although the latter seems a bit pricey - you could get a decent single malt for the same price.

Is Captain Morgan Spiced Gold drinkable with coffee, or is it more like a liqeuer?

Is there a good "rate your alcoholic beverage" site where people write essays and hand out ratings, IMDb-style?

The following is based on personal experiences ...

Captain Morgan Spiced Gold is the best for Coke and rum drinks.

Light (blank) rum is the best for Mojitos etc, but if you are after the real gold, the "lets have some dark chocolate and rum, and then perhaps grown up social intimate activities" you should go for dark Jamaican rum at least 8 years of age.

I am afraid I don't have detailed knowledge beyond this but I'll be back when I have. (I bought a 12 year old dark rum some years ago and I absolutely loved it with dark cholcolate. It was even better than cognac ...)

Once a year when I bike to Rockaway beach I pick up a flask. Its rum with a funny name nothing special. Also i've been cheating on JD with Chivas Regal lately, that whiskey should never be mixed or chased.

Just because you wouldn't know quality even if it bit you in the face doesn't give you the right to talk down to my whiskey.

Mint Julep has become my favorite drink after a recent trip to the American south. I sat under a tree in Florida drinking this and nothing else for three hours. Man I got pissed. So drunk in fact that I could not have intercourse with the freshly shaven female that I was travelling with.

Chivas regal is a good drink and I think and I defend Von Drunkey's opinion, heathens!!

expensively repacked cheap crap still equals cheap crap.

Hehe... Seriously, though - Chivas Regal? Quality? Surely, you jest. Thinking Chivas Regal is a top notch whisky is like thinking an elephant is larger than the moon.
