What's Your Favorite Drink?

Luke said:
Hehe... Seriously, though - Chivas Regal? Quality? Surely, you jest. Thinking Chivas Regal is a top notch whisky is like thinking an elephant is larger than the moon.

I didn't say it was top notch, i just said I prefer it over Jack Daniels if I'm taking shots. Its only a few bucks more that i'm willing to put down. I don't see the point in buying the really high end whiskey, since I wont taste the difference half way into the bottle but Chevis Regal is defiantly a quality brand.

What whiskey do you drink, Luke?

Nothing beats a good drunk like good old Canadian Rye whiskey and of course my new friend the mint julep. Chivas regal is nice and gives you that " I am going to jump up and take on that world feeling." Or wake up with coyote arm"

Speaking of coyote arm, Vodka is the hands down cause for this syndrome, Vodka of the Absolute quality. Once I woke up with a female that had the most hairy of deepest darkest bush. My predilection for sleeping with only freshly shaven females was indeed put to the test. I have a vague memory of exploring that bush causing me intense anxiety forcing me to run out the door to hail a cab.

Let's see:

Gin: Tanqueray ten
rhum: Baccardi anejo
cognac : Martell Noblige
Tequila: Cuervo Reserva de la Familia
Single malt: Auchentoshan 21 year old
Blended: Chivas royal salute
liqueur: Grand Marnier Louis Alexandre
drink: Dry Martini (Dirty) (made with Tanqueray ten)

The usual Drink

Well, we've a kind of multicultural community here, so I believe that we all get drunk with different drinks. Today I drank a lot of Chacaça and Pinga, typical drinks here of Brazil, that are kind of cheap and good. But sometimes buying vodka is better than buying Pinga, since vodka is cheaper, and if you want to get high, vodka is better because we can have quantity (without quality), the only bad thing about vodka is that has a kind of horrible taste, you HAVE to mix it with something else not alcoholic (like coke). And, with just one dose of vodka, you cannot get REALLY high (at least not with these Brazilian cheap vodkas) while with pinga getting high its really easy. Whatever, what do you guys usually drink when you get out with your boys? And what is common sense when we talk about alcohol there in you countries?

heh. alcoholic gravedigging!

#1) lulz at VD drinking Chivas Regal. not a bad scotch but it sure is a cheese-dick scotch.

#2) updating my favorite drink: Bourbon

a - Pappy Van Winkle 15 / Van Winkle Lot B
b - Blantons
c - Elmer T. Lee
d - Weller 12
e - Eagle Rare
f - Buffalo Trace

Mostly anything, I love red wine, beer, scotch. A Jamesons on the rocks will never be turned down. Caesars are always nice for a hair of the dog after a big night. Normally Im drinking beers but I won't turn down most things.

That being said however, bacardi 151 is the physical embodiment of death, although it is good for blowing fire after a long night at the restaurant.

Edit: Damn do I ever wish I could get some Cristal here (the Cuban beer, not the champagne), nice fresh beer that is acctually a joint venture between the Cuban government and Labatts brewery.

Hard alcohol: Jäger, but my bank account tends to to point me towards vodka.

Beer: Newcastle. so far its the best brown ale i've found

Whats your favorite type of liquor?

In my younger days I liked wine but as the days have went by I've pretty much fallen in love with rum. I've tried it all, Whiskey, Vodka, Rum, Brandy, Wine, etc and I must say that between the mainstays of Whiskey, Vodka, and Rum I'd rate them like this from best to worst.

1. Rum
2. Vodka
3. Whiskey

I've just never liked whiskey for some reason, I just don't enjoy it at all, it's too thick or something. Then again me puking my guts out in a kitchen sink after a triple shot of Jack Daniels towards the end of a party might attribute to that. Then there is the shitty night where me and 2 others got hammered on Southern Comfort at the age of 16 and ended up not even being able to walk.

Then there was the Earthworm Jim drinking game and I happened to suck at Earthworm Jim causing me to pass out while the game was paused on level 3.

Needles to say screw whiskey, Vodka on the other hand meh it is bland and I'll drink it if it's free but won't buy it unless it's on sale. Rum just has a good track record with me, it makes me happy, get's me a warm feeling, and makes it hard to walk, what's not to love?

I also enjoy a serving of Malt Liquor here and there when socializing but hate light beer, I have a high tolerance so it does nothing for me anymore. I once bought a 30 pack of Keystone light and drank the entire box in a 4 hour time period and only kept a mild buzz but spent most of the said buzz peeing.

It's 'Whisky'. And it's the glory of all Gods in distilled form. At least the Scotch variety. I never got into the american and canadian whiskeys, especially not Bourbon. Although I still need to find a good Bourbon here, my local tobacco&whisky store simply doesn't have Bourbon.
Rum is good for Feuerzangenbowle, Captain Cola and Bumbo.
But of course, as a german, I mostly drink beer.
Absinthe is neat from time to time, too. If prepared properly. Can't drink that shit without water and sugar.

I am a big fan of Cuban rums, I have a bottle of this on the go at the moment http://www.cgarsltd.co.uk/varadero-supremo-cuban-70cl-p-8544.html and I have to say it's one of the best rums I have ever had the pleasure of kicking back and relaxing with I have it with one of my Cigars. I am not a huge fan of Irish Whisky, far over rated in my opinion.

If you can get Bullet Burbon it's a nice and unique flavour, if you can't find any PM me and I'll see what I can do.

Went out and got a bottle of Macallan 12 yesterday to drink with my dad, my sister comes home later with the same thing. :drunk:
I love Tequila, however anything stupid I've ever done/said while hammered drunk usually involved tequila. Margharita and Bloody Marias are my favorite gals.
For beer, I drink IPAs. I love trying new ones. There are so many. Also have fond memories of Belgian beers, though they are rare since I only drink them if someone is nice enough to bring them back from Belgium.

These days, I'm drinking even less than I did in this thread's heyday thanks to a surgery awhile back, but I'll still usually go for a beer if it's on offer. Witbiers or stouts, if I'm the one buying. Just about any wine is nice, if it's not too terribly dry or tannic. On the rare occasion that I'm drinking in a social setting and want to go beyond that, I usually opt for tequila since it seems to be the only liquor that can get me beyond "mildly buzzed" anymore without causing severe physical discomfort.

Oh, and liqueurs, since having to take it easy means I've got a doctors note to drink all the tasty girly drinks that most of the guys making bitter beer face at the bar wish they could get away with. A favorite in these winter months has been a coffee mixed with liberal amounts of Bailey's, Kahlua, and butterscotch schnapps.

Not a big fan of alcoholic beverage, but a good whiskey does have a tendency to leave a very pleasant aftertaste :]

Otherwise, gimme Vanilla Coke. Seriously, gimme, they stopped selling it here D':

Water's good. Not only is it the quintessential hydrator, but it has a wide variety of applications outside of consumption, such as cleaning, cooling, and SCIENCE!
