Will Fallout the game become Fallout the reality?

Europe combined has two aircraft carriers. Maybe three? the US has five. We've also got B2's, F22's, F35's, and in the planes that can fly in the rain, F-15's, A-10's, and more A-10s. A-10's are the best planes. European nations are pretty much the only ones who have armor and air capabilities comparable to America, but we've still got shittons more of them (and they'd all be the same, unlike with Europe), and the aforementioned Nimitz class aircraft carriers, which can ruin the fuck out of anything.

In 2010 the population is 857 million [of Europe].

Sorry; you just lost.

you say that like bombs don't kill people and shit, or that there will be a 1:1 kill ratio or some shit.

And that the entirety of Europe (a bunch of nations who are hateful of all conflict) would join in this hypothetical war.

and consider that a lot of them are doubly hateful of conflict because of how it's often it's happened on their front lawns.

Exactly. A hypothetical Euro/US war would be bloody, but almost a guaranteed US win.

Depends what kind of war.
I don't see Europe trying to invade the US or the US trying to invade Europe by conventional means (I'd think both would result in failure), but a sea- or proxy war would currently indeed be won by the US, since Europe has no way of projecting power comparable to the US.
If there was a long build-up, though, Europe would have ample means to build something comparable to a dozen Nimitz-class carriers, though. Fortunalty I don't think there would ever be a need to do so, as it's unlikely the US and Europe would ever go to war over anything.

Well, and what some TNW, detonated 20-30 km above the Nimitz? (Let's hope it will never happen.)

Well, it's not like there are no nuclear weapons in Europe.
Both sides could simply EMP the crap out of the other, no problem there.
But of course, the US has the bigger strategic nuclear arsenal.
In a conventional war with sufficiently long build-up... I guess the US would struggle quite a lot against a united Europe.

Where are you getting those numbers from? The US has 11 aircraft carriers, Europe combined has 7.

There's no way the USA could take on all of Europe combined. It'd be hard enough to take on Russia alone.

I think the Yanks are greatly overestimating themselves. A united Europe holds close to one billion people and most of the countries are already EU members. So, in case of a potential war it's highly unlikely that some random nation would split and suddenly join US on the other side of the planet while waging war with the rest of the Europe.

Oh, and Yanks...........................

Just sayin....

Pretty much thin air-ish. Some program talking about aircraft carriers, I remember it being said that we had a bunch, England had one or two, and france had one or two, and that's about it.

Regardless, America still has the ability to bomb the shit out of Europe with impunity.

Oh a nuking a carrier group would probably result in europe getting literally blanketed in warheads. While we have some chancy defenses against missiles, we'd also the aforementioned ability to drop them whereever without any real chance of a B2 getting shot down. Nevermind all of our SSBN's launching their payloads and the land based missiles. But nobody wins at global thermonuclear war.

You guys are also assuming pretty heavily that all of Europe is going to unite and put their armies together and get their chain of command and shit sorted pretty damn quick. and that all of the nations will want to unite and get involved.

Yeah.

Why are we talking about Flattops? Subs are what carry our nuclear arsenal globally. Cant really do much about a sub that can launch it's payload while submerged.

In the end, we're all fucked.

With that attitude we are.

Cynicism always leads to ruin. If there's anything to be learned from The Road it is that

depends about the threat. The cold war helped to unite Europe afterall (next to economical reasons).

Though any discussion about who is going to win in a possible Europe VS US scenario is just as pointless like arguing about Sovietunion VS USA. Simply because either side will use its nuclear arsenal when it is facing a possible defeat.

Well, an American property would be bombed then. The biggest industrial complexes here in Slovakia are owned by an American investors.
