Xcom 2 ?

So I started over and I'm giving this game one more chance to not keep crashing on me. Apparently I made the grave mistake to save and load during one of the DLC missions, irrevocably fucking up my savegame. Ace quality control, Firaxis.

I had some crashes trying to reload (savescum mod fuck yeah) a mission with one of the 'alien leaders'.

Weird, as the crash implied lack of RAM, which makes no sense, as I can run it just fine.
 
Apparently if you reload even once during the Shen's Last Gift DLC mission the game will crash on completion of said mission. ALWAYS, meaning you have to complete this mission in one sitting without reloads ever. It's rather tough, too.

Huh? Shen's last gift is really easy.

5 dude team with mag weapons beats it trivially.

I could beat it with 5 non-mag weapons, if I had a some grenadiers.

Well, I mean...You literally have the whole game to start it, it never 'runs out'.

Its like the alien hunter mission, that one will literally kill your entire squad if you start in the begining.
 
I had just bought the game with DLC included and had no idea it's some kind of special mission when it popped up. I did manage to beat it, without a grenadier in my team even, he was still injured from a previous mission.

Well, the missions are specially coloured and stuff.

Frankly its cheeky those missions.

They give you OP gear too...
 
Already did, pay attention. :P And I installed the "Stop wasting my time" mod, which reduces the waiting quite a lot.

I'll have to get that mod.

I think that's where Fallout 2 exceeds, while Xcom 2 fails to reach expectations.

Fallout 2 combat can (for the most part) be 'skipped' through speeding it up.

Until you fight fifteen wolves and it takes an hour.
 
So my PC sucks and I am afraid to buy this on PS4 because the last port was pretty buggy.
 
Sure, but it would look like shit. It boils down to if it looks better on PS4 and isn't too buggy I will get it. I am afraid on PC the download alone would drive me insane.
