Your favourite New Vegas character?

I always find Davison and Antler funny as hell, although mute Christine is one of the best original characters in the games I played. It is glass shattering when she regains her voice.

Am I the only one who didn't like Yes Man?
Not that he (it) is bad, but I find him a bit annoying, even though I supported him.

Plenty of good characters in the game.
If I had to choose one, weighing between the character itself and the voice acting, it would be a pretty hard choice.
So here are several:
- Mr House
- Joshua Graham
- Chief Hanlon
- Dead Money crew
- Elijah

Almost all companions.

Some characters are a hit-or-miss for me, like Think Tanks or Ulysses - former because of uneven writing, and later because I found the way that he was represented throughout the game is in itself to be uneven, as if throwing pieces of his character to us - which isn't necessarily bad, far from that, it's just that I felt it was poorly executed at times. Still, he gave me some Planescape: Torment moments and had really powerful lines.

Let me guess: Lily? :V

No, Lily was okay actually. Nothing special, and probably the weakest character in the whole gang, but okay. All vanilla companions are good for me, though some are better than others.
Honest Hearts companions are not that good, though.

I have to admit, after giving House a good try, he has become one of my favorite characters. He genuinely wants humanity to advance. Tied with Yessie for my favorite playthrough

I wasn't terribly fond of him either. I mean, some of his lines gave me a chuckle but in the end I just got annoyed at how much of a kiss-ass he was. Granted that's part of his character, but that doesn't mean I can't hate him for it right?

But he's a lovable kiss-ass :(

Guess it's kind of cliche, but I really liked Boone. He was the easiest to empathize with, since his storyline was driven by loss rather than wackyness.

Not everybody though has a dead wife who was kidnapped by Slavers and feels guilty for their death. I sympathize for Boone, not empathize.

I concur, Boone is my favorite. Not only for his background, but his usefulness as a follower. It felt epic, being this untouchable con man whose bodyguard could blow your head off before you could say "sweet roll". Plus, alongside Boone was my cybernetic dog. I felt thoroughly badass. That alone cemented him as my favorite follower in all of Fallout besides Cassidy and Marcus. Plus, the distinct lack of SMG bursts to my back helped as well...fucking Ian.

Ulysses, not sure why. Perhaps it's just his groovy voice.
Graham, for general badassery.
Marcus, for Fallout 2 nostalgia.
Dog/God.
I liked Ambassador Crocker. I felt bad when I abandoned the NCR quest line.
I found Mobius hilarious.

There are a plentiful amount of characters I rather liked in New Vegas. A couple of the ones that stood out from the rest were
-Yes Man, the rather obvious one for me. A large chunk of my playthroughs involve siding with him. His total tranquility and friendliness wrapped with a subtle veil of sarcasm and morality make him one of my most favored characters in the game.
-Arcade Gannon. While not the most capable fighter in the game, his snarky yet humorous perspective on the happenings of the Mojave provides a dark humor that the Fallout universe thrives on. That, and he gave me unique Power Armor, which is always a plus
-Craig Boone, Polar opposite to Arcade, his perspective on everything is rather blunt with a veil of depressing wonders, yet he is the most capable fighter in the game. I myself had to switch off Cinematic kill cam due to Craig constantly killing things from afar, or when I'm trying to accomplish another task. Also, while blunt, he manages to provide an interesting perspective as well, one of a man deeply burdened. In my opinion he's the most well-thought out character if the game.
There are others, Fantastic, No-Bark, Caesar, Veronica but the ones above are the only ones who really stand out.

Elijah, Elijah, Elijah, Elijah, Elijah, Elijah... I'd have to say, he was a compelling enigma before I played Dead Money, and once I MET the guy, I was floored by him. He's pragmatic to a fault, despite his lack of presence has a COMMANDING "presence", and although his vision is warped- and his methods cruel and inhumane, at best! -on some level you can respect his intentions. That, coupled with his sheer badassery, and the volume of his accomplishments despite being just one frail, old man with no force at his back, simply won me over ten-fold! =)

For very similar reasons I adored House. He was just so cool, and when I tried playing the game to get the different endings, I found it GENUINELY painful not to side with him. At his best, he was an amusing, insightful, visionary for the future of mankind. At his worst, he was a condescending, amoral, well-meaning architect for a distopic future. It's impossible to hate the guy! ^^

Surprisingly, while I hated the Legion, I really took a shine to Caesar, himself. I practically abandoned House/Yes Man to sign up for Caesar the moment he gave me his speech on Hegelian Dialectics. It took Marcus's wisdom to show me the error of my fondness for the man; "Most Legion follow Caesar, not what he stands for. Once he's gone[...]"

Like Elijah, I was wooed by Ulysses before I even met the guy, and he's by far my favorite villain of the entire Fallout series (well, right behind Frank Horrigan)- and yet, we're not so different, he and I (the Courier). That was fantastic story and character writing, right there. Not quite enough to elicit an immediate spot on my favorites, but unforgettable, to say the least!

I loved Boone's backstory, and it was some of the most compelling material of the non-DLC game, but as a character I never took much of a liking to Boone.
I liked Yes Man, but not so much that he ever came to mind when the subject of "favorite character" cropped up.
I didn't hate Benny, and as much as he was built-up as a villain from the very start- and despite how he'd turn on you at EVERY given opportunity -his goals and dreams and his charisma just made me like him, up to the last second before I put him out of his misery.
Like Elijah or House, I was eating up every bit of legend and backstory (mostly legend) about Graham, but unlike them, once I met Graham in person, he ceased to be so awesome. Still a great character, but he fell short of my expectations.
The Remnants deserve a mention, particularly Arcade because you interacted with him the most out of all of them. Without them, the Enclave would never have captured my respect, because they were always a faceless organization conducting the most heinous acts, nurturing the most disparaging of humanity, while hiding behind the Stars and Stripes to mask their agenda and paranoid delusions. The Remnants made them seem glorious, if flawed, and that's fucking remarkable!

Really, I could go on, and I'm sure I'd feel like I NEED to list more, but it's fair to say that MOST characters New Vegas were just stellar. It's like having to pick any single one out of a stack of ten-out-of-tens... =)

I'd say my all time favourite is Mr.House for his pragmatism and old world class, I signed up for him during my first play because I felt (and still do) that he's the only person capable of bringing civilization to Mojave and the rest of the wasteland.
Other favourite are NPCs associated with the Legion: Caesar, despite his overgrown ego, for intelligence and Haegelian point of view; Lanius for being a bloodthirsty yet honourable warrior with ultimately epic voice; Graham for his dealing with the past and discipline; Ulysses for shaping the history of Mojave almost single-handedly and finally Vulpes for being a sheer cold psycopath. You gotta love them.
Finally, my two favourite ladies: Veronica and Cass. Probably because of my personal tastes when it comes to other sex; I crave the women strong enough to stand up when the world brings them to knees and fight back. Also, their personal tragedies and difficulty with attaching to the world made them more likeable.

my favorites are joshua graham and red lucy.
joshua is charismatic and lucy is hot. and also she is aware of the harshness of the wasteland. a realistic.

Yes-man. Ass-kissing has never been so awesome.. :)

Victor: Cause he is awesome

Vulpes Inculta. The only legioneer i didn't feel like throw off a cliff.

Benny. Even tho he decided to shoot me and run off when i tried to work with him i still like this guy.

That's the fav i can think of right now. Been playing F3 to much :P

OT. Best char in any Fallout game >

I like Benny for his care-free, smartass personality. I just LOVE that comment "how come when I see you and hear "dig" all I can think of is a shovel?" Friggin classic!

I adore Veronica, she's the first follower I get almost every playthrough. I still have yet to complete Boone's quest, so I don't know him so well.

I HATE rex. Rex is a bastardization of dogmeat and the devs who put him in deserve to be shot. With a plasma caster. At point blank range.

And I like any of the ex enclave members--that whole storyline was very fun, and brought back a TON of FO2 nastalgia for me.
