Yeah I enjoyed games that were garbagonzo as a kid yet I still relish the memory. Times were simple back then.

At least my love of games evolved and I started caring about the stuff that mattered (story, characters, immersion and feel) rather than gameplay elements. Most "gamers" these days will, when asked which game was better, instantly cite things like gunplay, and movement with UI improvements.

A guy was iffed about Fallout 76 a long time ago because, "I heard there were going to be no Super Mutants in it."

People need to grow up and figure out what really matters. All of these little things is only a symptom of greator societal collapse. People just do not have any grounding on what anything is anymore.

These retards don't know the Internet exists for the sole purpose of porn and speaking your insane mind. But I agree with one point they make, if you don't like it then nevermind them. They're not worth anything to fret over.

nah see the problem with this is it implies you're not allowed to be upset when things are taken from you. even if bethesda somehow went bankrupt and a new company got ahold of the ip we'd still be getting an arpg set in a bombed out psuedo 50s with probably little consideration for the setting or lore in favor of dungeon crawling and looty shooty. because thats what the series is now in pop culture. its been completely coopted and replaced with an essentially different series with a nearly polar opposite design philosophy and a more simplified setting and its gonna be that way forever likely. how is that not something to upset over?
 
Because it's a shitty video game franchise that you should not stress out about or cry about for a decade plus like many have here.

Pretty much this.
This franchise will never have the potential again that it once had when Fallout 1 showed that people wanted more games in this setting.

I only want to finish my own idea because I want to have done something with my fading interest before I also move on.

Speaking TRUTH!!! You literally took the words right out of my mouth, that's pretty much the sad reality of what this franchise has become, and what it'll be known as on a mainstream/casual level. And sadly a lot of New Generation Fallout Fans don't seem to get that, even though I'm a NG Fallout Fan myself, I understand where the Original Generation of the Fallout Fandom's is coming from and their pain.

Well yeah that's pretty obvious, with the way you guys vibe to whatever's new from this franchise, and I'll admit. It's pretty chill, and I love how it's a "sit back & watch the fireworks" sorta attitude that guys have about these things. The pain that I'm referring to BTW, is the initial reaction to the franchise's new direction under Bethesda. Basically the 2007-2008 era, the PEAK of the Glittering Gems of Hatred!

Hahah it's exactly like Star Wars! The first two games were amazing but the technology is sort of dated in present day just like the original movies show their age.
FO3 has bits I liked like the fight with Darth Maul that carried the prequels.
Fallout 4 I can have fun playing but it's not right. I don't even remember the names of the latest Star Wars but I had fun with some of them at times. I remember there's a baseball city in fo4 and uh Kylo Ren was pretty cool but that's like literally all I remember about either of them.
But now I don't even bother watching new Star Wars movies. I mean to get around to it just like I mean to get around to checking out FO76 one day, maybe.

I guess I hope they keep making more of both but whatever.
 
Kylo Ren is a good actor so thankfully he survived the Fallout.
