  • I just saw this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Te9II_dwpMQ and know you have an account on Beth's forum. You may know but just in case.
tldw; in your communication preferences on the Bethesda forums website is a default 'true' opt-in for email sharing to see more Bethesda commercials on other people's sites - meaning a rather mass email share, at least, and possibly more otherwise.

Thanks for the heads up, I've been aware of junk like this for quite some time and it's nothing new unfortunately. That's why I only visit the website from a work computer rather than my personal computer at home.

I should have known better, I'm usually pretty good about avoiding it, but for some reason forgot to check if they opted me into anything. That hindsight
I'm just sitting here watching BGS burn themselves down to their foundation, and the funny thing is they did it themselves.

Rheios, I think you made some really great points. My only criticism is that it's a bit difficult to read due to the way it's structured and punctuated.

Thanks again for throwing your hat into the ring on this one.

I went back and read it myself last night. I think you're right. I was trying to be tepid sounding but all the 'myself's, 'personally's, and abuse of commas really hurts it. I'll edit it and clean it up soon.
Just watched a bunch of Fallout 4 fan perspective videos on Vault 76, the views are so wildly different I'm not even sure what to make of it

My guess is that people are confused as to what it's trying to accomplish and to who it is being marketed at. This game's pure existence baffles me. When I saw the trailer for the first time I felt like I entered an alternate dimension. It is that jarring. My guess? People will play it for a year or so and then it will be abandoned forever. Mark my words - the servers will close in record time.

I literally just watch a guy compare Fallout to a bean burrito, then go on about building his own Fallout burrito.

From what I understand he was trying to impress upon Bethesda that he want's the Fallout franchise to be a build your own game with mods burrito thing. He's basically asking them to not develop a Fallout game, but provide a free game engine for modding...

The day isn't complete until I've heard the dumbest thing since going to war because someone assassinated the Archduke of Austria-Hungary.
I'm apparently the most viewed writer for the Fallout topic on Quora. People actually read what I type?!

    But Quora sucks!
The amount of hate Vault 76 has received so far on Quora is actually quite surprising.

It will still do good though I bet.

I guess it depends from what angle you're looking at it. There is moral absolutism and moral relativism. However, from where does moral come from? Is it something that only gets value from us, so making it subjective, or is there really some some kind of 'code' that will always lead us to some kind of moral.

That right there is the issue, either way someone tries to define it there is still a subjective layer.

Adolescence is the time where a teen will try out new ideas and stuff, most of them of course are just misconsceptions on life and stuff. If those college kids ever grow up then they might throw away the idea of forcing others to follow their idea of "morals".

The sitch was that the customer wanted us to spend more money to appease them. I told them off then brute forced them until they had to enact my plan. In doing this I save my company money, got them in trouble, and landed myself a raise.

Don't piss of a navy vet, because we will sink you.

Here we have a saying "The customer always loses all reason". It's very important to be able to getting them down to earth and not just acting on their every whim.
