conspitaped after the only opioid pain-killer they gave me, and I desperately want to poop. Oh, and the seizure sucked, my gf was terrified, and all in all it was a harrowing little experience. Super-inspirational in regards to my writing though, I made notes. Otherwise, not recommended

Glad to hear that tests are saying you're fine, hopefully it keeps going that way.

Thanks! I just had an ibuprofen for my back pain, then googled painkillers relation to conspitation, and found that ibuprofen is a big sinner in that regard. Goddamnit :I

Damn that's fucked up dude, glad you're ok

Thanks Korin, I must admit it was quite worrying, even after I was in good hands at the hospital. They scan your brain, and then they're like "give us a day, and we'll find out if your brain is screwed up.", it was a big relief to get an "ok" on every test

Doctors said its a rare thing, it can happen out of the blue, and once it does, it rarely occurs again, like a one-time thing. Basically, I got dizzy, very quickly, very abruptly, sat down in the sofa, and woke up a bit later, with a biting back pain, and unable to stop hyperventilating

went to the hospital, and got blood tested, ct scanned, mr and eeg over 2 days, and while my back stayed intensely tense and in lots of pain, they told me everything else was fine
Back home, I had a splif and a painkiller, and my back-pain is almost gone

Hope everything's OK with you. Do some more tests man. My uncle had something similar and doctors found out he had a brain tumor. Thankfully he was operated successfully.

I will be called back for one more eeg, and they specify I must be sleep deprived for it, so to test a tired brain. I'm okay with that :D She says though, that most likely i'm completely fine

I've seen such happen, Alphons, and it was one of my worries in the hospital stay. Getting the all-clear was a huge relief. Glad your uncle is okay, also.

Yeah, it's good. He had some minor headaches before the attack, so if you didn't experience anything like that you should be safe.

So you don't have any medical antescedents for seizures? Just a freak happening?
zegh8578
zegh8578
Yup. Everyone kept telling me, the nurses and the doctors - it's rare, but not unheard of. Dad googled around (even if I told him not to), and found similar assertions, especially combined with muscular seizuring/cramps.
zegh8578
zegh8578
So, in a sense, bad news - it can happen to anybody, for no apparent reason (although exascerbated by long stretches of stress + no sleep + drugs). Good news, it's fairly rare, and would if so occur only once in a lifetime

I had one of those before but it was due to drruuuugsssss man. This does concern me though, Zegh. I want to see you again in three months.

Also my dudes, I actually expected to pay like a token bill, we sometimes do for doctors checkups and such, like a 50-dollar-type-deal - but this cost me *nothing*. I cannot help but Bernie Sanders this moment, but for real - CT scan, MR, EEG, 2 days stay, meals - hell, I didn't even need to sign myself out, just get dressed and leave. The nurses smiled and waved.

I actually kept thinking about it - how much would this cost me, if the hospital had been privatized. And not to be smug about it or anything (cus many euros are) but cus I'm unemployed and not particularily wealthy (unemployed but with an apartment of my own, also thanks to sturdy security nets) - I was also worried we might lose this some day, since we too are going down the privatization path, little by little
