The problem is that a lot of people confuse retards for leftists, but to be honest, a lot of us leftists are not very fond of those SJWers and PC-retards runing around playing professional victims either. Those people are a minority. Does the left have its retards? Absolutely, but their policies are for the most part pretty acceptable, not engaging in wars, treating people as individuals rather than cultures or groups, equality, egalitarianism etc. With the right though, you have retard policies just as how they have been thrown around 150 years ago. Particularly in Europe but also the US.

You have a point there. But the lines are becoming blurred on the left as well. It doesn't seem like democrats are doing to much to disown or disavow what extreme leftists sjw folk are doing in the U.S. But I see what you mean. I agree some of what the left is doing is in some part acceptable. My problem with the left is the cultural stigma that somebody can't say some things because they're racist or offensive. When some things aren't even like that. Then they get violent to try to shut someone up who says things they don't like. I hear shit I don't like everyday. But I don't care enough for it to get into a fight with anyone in the name of defending minorities who probably are mature enough to ignore them
 
You shouldn't forget that the US has a very strange history with the left. For example I am convinced that there has never been a 'real' political left in the US, people that follow leftist ideals are a tiny minority. Most people just feel that some leftist ideas are great or they chose to support one or two policies. I mean a substantial number thinks Hillary and Obama represent the 'left' or even progressives, infact not even Bernie Sanders is representing a political left, he's just a social democrat when you think about it.
 
There was a Left in America but it was thoroughly dismantled post-WW2 by J. Edgar Hoover.

Hilariously, in a funny 'oh god, really', he actually kept the American communist party funded for a decade and membership led by spies.
 
The Left is associated with Europeans and bad guys like Bernie Sanders so it is bad in the south which apparently thinks education isn't worth investing in but more fracking earthquakes is.

All the time. But you always need to point out that one side is more of an asshole and danger than the other despite on being a few thousand inbred retards, and the others being deeply ingrained in politics and academia.

You can also not side with either side and have your own opinions and call out whoever needs to be called out.

I dunno, I keep remembering a certain poster I often got into tussles with. He was an "ironic" Nazi who then became a Holocaust Denier.

At that point, it became hard to tell the difference.

The Left is flawed but are they so great that opposing their opponent is pointless because it benefits them?
 
I never said it was pointless to go against the alt-right, I just said that just because I am against them I don't have to join a side I have similar grievances with and act as if they are the righteous ones.

There is no direct equivalency, because the Right are fundamental shitbags, but the Left are hypocritical and, worse, in power. So I oppose them as well to some degree because historically it's not only the rightwing ideologies turning out murderously psychotic, but every radical left wing ideology as well. Every revolution eats its children.
