Currently the peace negotiations betweeen the FARC and the government have gone through and are working so far, there are shakes ups as with any transitional period, in general everyone wants to keep the peace and to continue the peace treaty with the ELN next but that is another bumpy road, the Extreme right is trying to dismantle the agreements and doing a lot of fear mongering about how any leftist candidate will bring upon us "Castrochavism", they are even getting help from far right pundits from Venezuela to help spread it.

In Colombia we have always been controlled by the right wing, maybe that will change this time, altho I rather have Fajardo, qho is very leftist but isn't a douchebag, but it seems the vote of the left is mostly going for Gustavo Petro who is the more flashy candidate.

The thing with cultural appropiation has gotten really weird. I mostly am just against works that erase the original culture of the original piece for profit, but for some reason the left has gotten almost xenophobically over zelaous about it, to the point that it seems that they imply you can never get any interest in any culture outside your own or you are an evil opressor, wonder why they would tell me about the Omamori I have hanging from my backpack from my trip to japan...

Cultural Appropriation is hilarious considering it is mankind's biggest mover. The idea that good ideas can only be used by people of the same demographics is arguement people are making these days....unless they're white people ideas which is thing that never happened because THE WHITE MAN stole all the ideas like sciences and mathery from the black Egyptians, people in north America believe that.

I generally take the idea that white people exist is a stupid concept. It's a club people keep trying to keep certain people out of which is constantly shifting his membership but is a shitty club to begin with.

Race is a made up concept.
 
One side is obssesed with forbidding people into the club while the other is obssesed to get anyone they dislike inside the club.

Eh, I wouldn't put it in such general terms. The science on race isn't as clear cut as that (with recent studies suggesting that "race" really is a thing, although probably not in the way the racists would like it), although of course the notion that one race is inferior or superior to the other is utter bollocks.
But of course, while "race" and "white people" absolutely do exist as an obvious fact (skin colour and phenotypes exist), these words are used in a rather different way these days thanks to the magic of postmodernist redefinitions that involve a lot of "institutional" and "systemic" and whatnot, also of course redefined in subtle or even major ways. Of course, without telling anyone else about it and condemning everyone not in on their joke.
