Anchorage screens and Q&A

I like the screenshots and learning something about pre-War USA, but I am aware that it will be a mediocre, low-replayability addon to a medicore FPS/RPG hybrid.

I do like Chase and the PA screens.

An early version really fucked up the Outcasts' PA helmets, but the latest version shouldn't have that issue.

You're correct, I was using the wrong mod.

It turned the Outcast helmets into some weird welded thing.

why almoust everyone in Failout 3 have the same face? 90% population of wasteland are descendants of some mormon family or something?:/

Every old guy I've seen so far looks like Ed McMahons descendant. They sound very similar too. Oh well you know who cares about unique believable NPCs really anyway...I mean shit now beth have to hire all these new voice actors n stuff? Plus force the artists to kick out more unique models/faces? Waste of time! What we really need is more places to "explorificate" in cause that's what makes the game so "great". NPCs are just window dressing man..Get with the times.

I think they would go with an excuse like this:

Todd: Yesterday I played the original Fallout for the first time, and I've seen that most of the old people, or junkies, or raiders, look all the same! So to keep the spirit of the originals, we decided to do the same thing in FO3!

Bloom....AHHHH, Goddamn fucking rocks hurt my eyes enough. Now I have to contend with snow.......

I'm sorry everyone feels the way they do about "Fall out of place 3" But I think the Anchorage Simulation DLC is a brilliant idea.

It would be a brilliant idea if FO3 was a Halo series spinoff.

I prefer to hide the bloom, makes the game easier to play as I can see more than five feet without being blinded.

And whoever textured that minigun should be shot, the texture is so low res I can hear Quake III laughing at it.

Vetbirds in the war? My knowledge about Fallout is really far from perfect. But are Vetbirds not a Enclave thing POST-APOC-WAR thing only? I mean ... I could be wrong of course. But I've never seen any evidence or reasons why Vetbirds should have been in the war [or is it just a screeshont from the other DLC were you hunt down Enclave or something? I am somewhat confused]

No, the Vertibirds were developed pre-war, however they were only in prototype stage.

Still, this doesn't make much sense, the Vertibirds had not been mass produced yet, and as far as I know they never actually entered military service. Considering the Fallout time line, it's very improbable that they would have been present at Anchorage, at least in large numbers.

It's a simulation, they might have tested them in the VR environment before they actually implemented them. It doesn't have to be 100% historically accurate.

Another possibility is Bethesda's lack of time line consistency.

The last is more likely.

They will probably say because this is a simulation that there is a vertibird in it but I think they haven't taken the time to make another more primitive VTOL plane or helicopter.

Limited scale deployment to test how they fare in a combat scenario.

Makes sense.

Haven't we seen the middle, BoS blurry mini-gun screenshot before? Oh... wait... there's snow in the background now, so it's "new."

At first I was bummed about no DLC for my PS3, but now I don't care. Haven't touched the game in weeks.
