2 possible fixes:

1. Is it possible to make the "Raiders" map button work?

2. When returning to Lynette with the Account Book and the Bishop Holodisk, should the player be given xp for both?

In theory, but I remember searching for it in the files but could not come across. Is it there? And if not, anyone willing to make one?

It would make sense to get xp for both, would it not? I think your reported not getting xp for both and checking my fix list I see that I corrected that some time ago.

Oh, and Per as I am currently in production of the addon pack (should be starting a new thread about it soon), could you check through the fix list and pick out what you feel should be in the addon rather than the bug fix pack. Oh, while you are at it, are there any bugs from your guide or that you know of that I have not addressed yet?

No rush on this; whenever you get the chance is fine by me.

I thought I remembered seeing one. Can't swear on it.

I went to Redding and got the bar brawl mission from the sherrif. After breaking it up (Without arresting that Corlioni or whatever his name was) he didn't aknowledge my victory and just kept saying that I had to break up the brawl.

So you arrested the lady instead? How did you break up the brawl? If you do it peacefully, you have to talk with BOTH of the people to finish the quest. Also a message in the window should appear saying you successfully stopped the brawl.

Please post step by step instructions on what you did as this is the only way I can sanely pinpoint issues.
 
I did get the XP for stopping the brawl, so I'm certain I completed the quest.

Alright, here's what I did: I went in there, talked to a lady and said I was helping the sherrif. Thinking this was sufficient to complete the quest, I returned to the sherrif, but he told me that I still had to break it up. I return, talk to the woman again, tell her I'll tear her appart if she doesn't leave. She accepts, goes to jail, I talk to the sherrif, and he still wants me to break the brawl up.
The end.

Well if you tell the lady not to fight because the Sheriff has a bum leg, then if you try to talk with her again all you get is floating text. How are you able to get into real dialogue with her after telling her the sheriff is hurt? I did what you said and everything worked as it should.
 
I have no idea, it just did. I don't know if this has any impact on it at all, but I'm a ranger, and the Sherrif reacted on that. Except for that, I did exactly what I wrote there (even tested it a second time) and it happened just like I described.

Quick question: Lets say that I really enjoy abusing The Pariah Dog glitch. I believe it mentions you fixed this in the patch notes, would it be possible to replace the dogs modified script (The one you did.) with the games original script? In short to undo you pariah dog fix but keep all the other wonderful fixes?

Bug Report:

Random Encounter
Robbers vs Merchants
killed Robbers
Merchant group seems to have two Masters (one was killed)
tried to trade with the second Master, dialog screen displayed over the trade screen

I will send the saved game soon.

I have a feeling that this is a problem that's only happening to me, but the weapons merchant in San Fransisco doesn't carry any Gauss Rifles, or ammo for the gauss pistols. This is kind of frustrating, considering it's my favorite weapon (obviously) and my other two weapon skills are at 6%.


EDIT: Until this problem is fixed, I've decided I'll just use some hacking tool, but I'm not sure of which one I can use to give the shop-keeper Gauss rifles. Any tips?
 
I believe that this is the topic where I should ask about the problem I'm having:

My Fallout 2 version currently has the official 1.02 patch + Seraphim 1.04 patch, but it isn't working. When I get to the grey screen saying "Please stand by", it just flashes back to the desktop with no error message. I'm running Win XP. I also would like to note, that I've had these problems: With a non.patched version, it said something about a missing WINOLDAP.MOD? Maybe it's because of that? Is there any way to get that file anywhere? Then, when I patched to 1.02, it said that running Fallout 2 requires a CD (and the CD was in the drive). I'm starting to get desperate, please help me!

Try leaving and coming back in about a week or so. Most of the time, the shopkeeper needs to restock his wares in order for the Gauss weapons to show up.
 
The thing is, I've tried doing that, and while he did recieve ammo in his inventory, the elusive rifle never came up, only the gauss gun.

Hello.

Got a problem in the courtyard in Vault City, I've got the doll which is missing by Curtis.

Now, the boy isn't around there anymore,
been waiting for days, coming back at different
times of the day, or night.
Leaving the city, and coming back.

This would not be that problem at all.
But I need this fucking wrench,
so that I can get the supertool from vallerie,
and with that, the car part from Skeeter.

If I just shoot him, and take it,
whole Gecko is getting hostile.
Not the way I want to solve this.

I'm running on the latest patch from Killap.

Any sort of Idea?
 
Sometimes they just leave. There's a wrench in the Vault on the second floor, but I think you'll need to pick a lock, so I hope your lockpick skill doesn't suck too much.
