It Wandered In From the Wastes
Maybe you got Servant Allocation Center to release his father, Joshua- in which case the whole family leaves Vault City I believe.

Never heard of this. Sounds like an engine fluke, perhaps? Another sign of the too many items bug beginning?forddieselguy said:To Killap: Ran into this this a few times, when trading with shops or npc's, some of the items do not show up in the trade portion of the barter screen when dragged from inventory. Usually I would exit trade and retry and it would be ok. Once when trading off a crap load of stuff in VC(where you get the part for the reactor), when I tried to drag the invisible item back to inventory the game crashed.
Are you able to continually reproduce this or was this random?Nekid said:Anyways, in
New Reno playing as a female character,
I enter NR from 2nd Street with the car,
leave my NPC's at the car,
go to sleep with Mrs. Bishop,
and when I return to the car the trunk is missing.
I recollect my NPC's, get in the car, return, trunk is back with nothing missing from it.
I was able to reproduce it and I believe I got it fixed. I will have to test some more though. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.Nekid said:I can reproduce it. Guess I shoulda mentioned that earlier.

Is this crash reproducible? Also any pattern noticed before the crash occurred?MurkyShadow said:Another problem:
Still running on the latest patch from killap, u.s. version.
At the time I'm in San Francisco, when I challenge the Dragon,
and am sent to fight against his men in the ring,
I am able to win 3-4 fights, then Fallout2 crashes.
Yeah, send that save game to the address found in the readme of my patch.Nekid said:Killap: hello again.
I've read through your release and see that the ::copy plans:: had been fixed, but for some reason not for me.
I'm playing as a female char,
I got the vertibird quest first from Matt, then from the Shi(I think...cannot remember for sure).
I then got the plans, then returned them to the Shi (the original plans),
Go and either hack or enter the right password in,
Activate the physics station, then exploration, copy plans,
And when I exit, I don't have another copy in my inventory.
I have a saved game that constantly does this if you are interested in taking a look.
That is mentioned under Per's game walkthrough, and I never really looked into it. It obviously sounds like some graphical glitch and most certainly an engine issue. I wonder if this occurs in other areas with roofs though or just in Navarro?Nekid said:1. When loading a game I have saved under a roof in Navarro, the roof is displayed(as opposed to being completely removed), and the character has his/her regular "egg aura" around him/her. The mini-screen shot in the load menu does not display the roof.
Engine issue; no sane way to fix this.Nekid said:2. Some times while alt-tabbing the "skilldex" button dissapears. This one, as far as I am concerned, completely random. It does happen occasionaly though if I'm alt-tabbing.
Well, installing my patch on top of the Black Steel mod should not pose as a problem. I do believe that Lich is making that mod under the Fallout 1.0 environment, so I cannot say for sure.forddieselguy said:I was wondering: When the Blacksteel mod is finished, will I be able to install over Killap's patch? Or will I have to do a fresh install of Fallout2. I am assuming that because it is a mod and the whole storyline is changed that the fixes in Killap's patch will not apply to the mod.
There will indeed be something available for older machines; have no fear. 8)forddieselguy said:Also Killap, you said you are working on an add-on pack, the EXE supplied with your patch is modified for the addon, if I recall from the fix list. Older systems can not use this modified EXE. Will there be something available for older systems or will the add-on be "out of reach" for those of us using old machines?
