My computer can't really handle the latest-and-best, so I'm looking for something with a bit of an age allready. Say, not much later than FO3, preferably earlyer.
I'm looking for atmosphere, above anything. Calmness. Yes, I am fully aware this narrows it down to near nul. Role play progression, this always is nice, but with the option of steering clear of hectic combat (as you often get in Fallout 1 and 2, you can put combat off, but when you feel like it, you can seek it out)
The vast majority of games are full of adrenaline-pumping competition, and I'm trying to find something to be a little alternative to that, along with a nice relaxing atmosphere. A game you can roll a joint to, without pausing it
I allready love the atmosphere of Grim Fandango, but it is far too linear, and won't allow you to progress in a satisfying way. I love Mount and Blade, but it is too combat-oriented. Games like Morrowind (and Fallout, obviously) come pretty damn close to what I'm looking for - but I allready got those, and whichever similar game I explore easily tends to be too actiony for my taste (not that I hate action, but I feel I got the actiony games I need)
Well, I've thrown it out there, and I know it's not an easy request
