I was watching Hbomberguy's video "Cultural Marxism: A Measured Response", and I noticed that noted white supremacist Davis Aurini, who Hbomberguy was talking about at the time, was shown to have been a member of NMA while he was peddling his Fallout fanfic. So I did some research and found that he had been banned. Do any of the older people on here remember what happened with that?

I have absolutely no idea. He seems to be constantly attacking LGBT-minorities, with which I have no beef with, and also seems to have some kind of strange superiority complex. If you read our discussions I never 'throw the first stone', but since I'm not a 'turn the other cheek' -kind of guy either, I will put some back.

Are you sure it’s not his dry sense of humor that you’re construing as an insult?

I mean, I did it just the other day. He’s probably joking but you interpret it as an insult.

Well just do a search "Hassknecht + gender studies" or something like that. You'll find many many posts. I don't know how deep his hatred goes but him being a German fellow, there is that unpleasantly close connection to some serious far right -movements in that country so, yea, dunno.

I honestly think he’s just being sarcastic.

Having said that, I’m willing to mediate between you two and end this animosity if you wish.
 
Because gender studies are bullshit. Has nothing to do with him attacking minorities. I remember Atomic Cowboy now...don't know what happened to them though. @SuAside might but if it is related to nonsensical cultural marxist/LGBT it would have been Tagaziel or Sander that banned him.
 
Well, he is an MRA and, among other things, created the Sarkeesian Effect, a shitty movie about how evil Anita Sarkeesian is, and that also cost $10,000 to make somehow. So I imagine it was something to that effect.

That, or she wanted to confiscate every game from every home, gather them in a tall pyre and set them ablaze, I don't recall which it was right now :/

Basically, she had a small channel about looking at pop culture through a feminist lens. The Alt-Right decided that she was an existential threat for some reason, and two of them ended up making a shitty movie about her.

I'm attacking Gender/Critical Studies for being anti-scientific and cult-like ideologies. I have no problem whatsoever with LGBT-minorities. You could have known that, but your reading comprehension seems to be kinda bad.
Anyway, if you don't like it here, go away. Surely you'll be missed.
 
I also watched Hbombs video and thought similar to the OP. I did a little looking and found one post attacking Fallout 4's bisexual companions as the work of the SJW' etc. He was attacked in that same thread for being well, a scumbag. I doubt his banning came long after. Hope that helps.

I have no recollection of why he got banned. There doesn't seem to be any discussion about him in the mod & admin forums. I would assume an administrator banhammered him & no appeal was filed.
I do doubt that his quoted post above is the only thing that got him banned. I presume there were a string of such posts which earned him some warnings.

As far as I am concerned, NMA welcomes everyone who is capable of civil discourse and staff's political opinion should not be a basis for moderation. In broad strokes: A KKK member who keeps chanting "all niggers must fucking hang" will get the banhammer immediately, but a white supremacist who attempts to explain why in his opinion whites are superior in a respectful manner is probably acceptable as long as it doesn't spill over into unrelated threads. If said main thread turns into a shit show (which is most likely will), mods & admins reserve the right to vat the thread. Of course, if said white supremacist starts advocating genocide for the greater good in an eloquent and "respectful" way, he'll still get banhammered.
