best music

Nirvana was a shitty band with good songs. The only talented musician in that band was Dave Grohl (though Krist Novaselic got good in time). Kurt Cobain was a terrible guitar player.

Excellent song writers, though, no doubt.
 
@Sander, I am part of the "Courtney killed Kurt" camp. He had his problems, but it's hard for me to believe he would do something like that.

@Malk, Kurt was the most talented songwriter I have ever heard. He was a terrible guitar player and singer though. Dave Grohl is good, but I don't like anything he's done since.

Just so everybody knows, at the Coachella music festival this year. The Pixies are getting back together, and the Cure is the headliner. I am so there this year.
 
I think the suicide thing is a bit of all your viewpoints.
A pussy will try to "kill himself" by slitting his wrists or gobbling up pills, only to be conveniently found a bit later and brought to hospital.
The fucked-up guy just puts the shotgun in his mouth and leaves only a big mess. To these guys suicide is just a giant flipping of the bird for the whole universe.

BTBAM are so amazingly different from any other band you've ever heard in your life. Listen to that song again, ALL the way through. It will blow you away and you will go buy their CD. Then you will see them live and I will own you in the pit. :P

Where is that? The Pixies only wrote one good song, but the Cure are amazing. I saw them with the Smiths a while back in DC. Great show. They played their "Trilogy" set.

There's some other bands I like but I've only heard one or two songs (Iggy pop, deep purple, rotterdam terror corps, air, penguin cafe orchestra). I wouldn't say these bands are equal in musical skill or talent, I just like them.
 
old misfits

I don't have a huge muscial palette (only 500 mp3s), so my musical taste isn't as large as I'd like it too be. I like most of those bands though, I can listen too any of there songs and like them.
