So Who's EXCITED for the Fallout 4 Leveling System?? 275 separate XP levels, and one for each individual perk.
Ohhh-Boy I'm gonna get my Grind On!

I can't wait for the perk that sole's purpose is to increase the damage the dog does!

I mean, the dog is immortal and will eventually be able to kill Deathclaws!

Julian Lefay ...The Creator of The Elder Scrolls was a Fan of GURPS system.
Tim Cain ..the Creator of Fallout was a fan of GURPS system.
Neither work or have input on the World they created.
Both turned to Shit.

The sequel to Arena ...
Daggerfall
came equipped with an improved character generation engine, one that included a GURPS-influenced class creation system, offering players the chance to create their own classes, and assign their own skills.

Todd Howard simply does NOT understand GURPS.

The ONLY reason Todd Howard can get any "credit" for Morrowind still being decent "rpg" is because
Ted Peterson(Original TES,co-creator) was still writing story for TES.
Morrowind was Pete Hines first TES game to PR

Todd howard is the kind of guy that while playing PnP rpgs throws a tantrum because you don't let him reroll when his character fucks up.

The leveling system sounds hilarious, after grinding so long won't everyone have the same builds when you get all perks on one character? I wonder about the factions as well as If you can join every faction to become the leader. I want this to turn out to be a good game but with the critical bar, land of the immortal NPCs, and other things shown in the videos I'm worried about it being a mediocre shoot everything in the head game.

“You’ll still level up via XP, and each level increase will still give you a point to spend on a perk, but now those perks have varying XP levels of their own. It’s perk-ception, essentially, and means that, should you theoretically play long enough to max out every tier of every single one gaining untold buffs and no doubt all kinds of horrendous real-world illnesses in the process – you’ll top off with a total of 275.”

So. What do you guys think? Will it be like Skyrim? A lot of people say bad wording, we have no clue what it will be like yada yada yada. But *shrugs* at least on paper it sounds similar to skyrim.

Or the perk to start a romance with your companions. With it's own sex-tree, the one that gives you 25% more thrust or 10% more chance in kissing. And each time you use sex on your companion you're gaining EXP.

Are ypu crazy? Bethesda wouldn't put their shitty romances behind perks. You will probably be able to engage all of them without repercussions just like you will be able to become leader of all factions.

I thought that one can increase SPECIAL a limited number of times in Fallout 4's leveling system. Otherwise, if they've actually gone with "you can get every SPECIAL up to 10 and therefore have access to every perk," which I doubt, they must have gone insane.

If there is no level cap it stands to reason they will just allow you to max all SPECIAL and perks, otherwise you would just be receiving empty level ups after a while.

The only difference is that empty level ups would come sooner, but that's better than having a system where one can max all SPECIAL. That's an insult to how SPECIAL was designed in the first place. If what you say ends up being true, then I'll earnestly be happy in saying "Fuck Bethesda."

The whole "Androids" thing in Fallout. It's amazing how so many people like to argue Lore but forget Tim Cain Lore.
he said "Fallout" is based on the Science Fiction of the 1950's Robots in Fallout world are like Robby the Robot not Terminator Robot.

Something more similar like The Cybermen from Dr. Who. would actually fit in fallout world much better than synthetic human-like android bullshit
But Somebody at Bethesda reads Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? Well because it is post-apoc duh! and Post-Apoc anthing is Zeeeomg Awesome

"Dr. Noonian Soong, my friend, happens to have been Earth's foremost robotics scientist."
Also ..In Star Trek there is only 2 Prototype and 4 complete Androids in the Star Trek Universe.
A universe much much more Technological Advanced than Fallout World
Even Dr. Soong one of the smartest men in Star Trek Universe failed to make positronic brain...till later with help
Data the most successful Android but he still lacked emotional abilities and required a learning period. considered to be almost human..having dreams and all. Androids and This "Lore" is explained all through Star Trek...even Data's Brother is named "Lore"
In a novel Doctor Soong survived his death by transferring his mind into an android body far more human in appearance than Data's

How the fuck is Android Technology so advanced in Fallout 4 to make Mass Produced Positronic brains ..for armies of hostile zombie Androids??
When everyone in Fallout is basically living in their own Shit......almost everywhere is Shit conditions.
Androids just do not make sense in Fallout...Not yet anyway.
places like Intel are more sterile than hospitals...

Another thing I wanted to write....In relevance to Fallout 4
I always see uneducated people writing bullshit like "fallout doesn't need realism"
Are you fucking serious?? The GURPS tabletop system.......Fallout is based on/uses.
its a "Realism" system over something like D&D....the mechanics represent sense and logic possibilities in the world.

When you think about it...it makes perfect sense why Tim Cain wanted to use gurps..for Fallout

Well I would not want realism in Fallout. Not like what I understand as realism = Simulation. But I definitely want logic behind the systems. And plausibility. But I am not the target audience of a Beth game.

People tend to confuse the word "Realism" with internal logic and use it to validate bad storytelling. Mostly because they are morons.
