Bethesda's Fallout 4: Continuity Breaker

The vertibird display in Fallout 3's Smithsonian said they weren't going to be rolled out until the 2080's. That could just be laziness on the part of Bethesda not wanting to make a helicopter or it could have been a prototype, honestly who cares about it.

In was also established that the East Coast had slightly more warning than the West Coast. The West Coast getting hit first and news broadcasts on the East Coast reporting about it. Also, it was mentioned that the sirens did go off when the bombs fell, its just that most people ignored them. Like I do when I have a shelter in place drill where I live.

Considering NMA is a Fallout fansite though (and, by extension, Wasteland), they'd have to go elsewhere to talk about those other games... unless the powers-that-be decided to repurpose the site so it's no longer a Fallout fansite. Either way, same result.

Because there isn't a general gaming forum...

It's been well established since Bethesda's first go at the Fallout Franchise, that they weren't particularly interested in the Fallout continuity to begin with, however it seems that Bethesda's Fallout 4, has wholly given up on even trying to respect the continuity(some of which they now established). The technical demonstration of the product, which can be seen on Youtube, given by a fellow with frizzy hair and a rather high pitched voice, proceeds to take a hammer to established continuity:

Continuity Errors:
Hovering vertibird just prior to nuclear attack (Established that Vertibirds were not brought into service until after the Great War)
Vault-Tec still vending vaults prior to attack (established that they were already sold out previously)
Warning of nuclear attack (The POTUS in Fallout 2, mentions that the Chinese launched first and there was no warning on the East Coast)
Light Armored Vehicle seen in the neighborhood( Clashes with Bethesda's own established retro-50's stylings)

There were other oddities and errors, but just sticking with those for now, show's how little Bethesda even cares about their own continuity, which gives me a high degree of doubt in the final product!
plus the West Coast got hit first and the East coast got hit after.

Gonna have to dispute you there. If atomic strategy is anything like OTL, all ICBMs and bombers will be coming from over the pole. Destruction will start at the northernmost region of the continent and work its way down, with places like Alert getting hit first/.
