Borderlands 3 (Or as I call it, Randy needs to pay off his embezzlement lawsuits)

oh... I'm sorry to ask you about this, but how long have you been doing this? What troubles you? It's okay, we're here for you.
I’ve been doing this for quite a long time. And as for troubles... heh, a lifetime’s worth. But that’s not what this thread is about. Don’t worry about me.

Thank you for caring.

I'm sorry, but any and all good things you accomplish are invalid if you do or are caught with certain things. That's it. It shouldn't be chalked up to a "flaw."

Anyway, enough of this, I say.

...What? I’d ask the same question?
“Uh cringe something something Randy’s a pedophile”
“Don’t really care and no?”
Of course you would stick up for Pitchford Arnust. Your such a good shill. Goddamn, you are such a salty bitch Arnust. Why don't you go back to your Discord and play at being a tin pot tyrant.

Never been a huge fan of Borderlands, but I cant put my finger on precisely why.
The way it's weapons are randomised remind me of some of the most annoying parts of MMOs, and I think it just pales as an RPG. Might be good as an action game, but.... Not for me.

The whole randomization is really pointless. They like to say they have gazillions of guns in the Borderlands games, but 99% of them are absolutely terrible.

I can count with one hand, i'm not joking, the amount of guns that actually mattered for the endgame in Borderlands 2. The vast majority of blues, purples, legendaries and even pearlescents were absolutely trash.

Only guns that mattered tbh were the uniques, legendaries and probably some seraphs.

Eh, that feeling mostly comes from a misunderstanding on how generation works, no thanks to the marketing. There is actually a way more reasonable amount of actual weapons determined by a set of other parts. especially past Common rarity. Even on super lategame play like NG+ 3 OP8, there's definitively a niche for a lot of those weapons. Of course, that doesn't make it so that because of exponential scaling, stingy drops and more normalized weapon gen, there's nowhere near a majority of viable let alone fun weapons, which is where the first game was pretty different, because of linear scaling and an entirely different generation system.

That said, all content on the first NG is perfectly doable with whatever weapons you can find, for as long as they're *at least* at the same level of the content you're facing. Legendaries are cool, but getting quests will usually net you Uniques, which are also pretty fantastic on their own for getting by.

At this point I just don't care as much about Borderlands. I like the visuals and I enjoyed my time with the first two games, but I'm pretty past them at this point.

I'll be totally honest, when it comes to a looter shooter Warframe's what's got my attention. I made the time investment there and there's no going back for me. Besides that, my free time is limited and if I did pick up Borderlands 3 I'd be playing it alone due to work schedules between myself and friends. Borderlands isn't enough fun alone.

So from me, everything about Borderlands 3 is maybe only slightly above apathy. The guns with legs joke did provoke a chuckle at least, so I think that's all I needed from the game.

It’s sad for me because I really want to like Borderlands. But I honestly can’t get into it.
