Cashgrab 2 - Fallout 76 gets a subscription service called Fallout1st

It's absolutely disgusting what Bethesda has done to the Fallout series with Fallout 76...

I don't know how much this will affect the series since it's kind of a Frankenstein's monster type spin-off. If you want to be disgusted with what they've done to the series there's always Fallout 3 and 4 :p

At least it's just a spin off... hopefully. I was so excited that Bethesda was making multiplayer Fallout and I was so disappointed

I was hoping for more. If Bethesda had gone all in on 76 they probably could have done a better job. My understanding is it was largely developed by several of their smaller studios with involvement from a few key players in the main studio. I think they're focused more on TES 6 than anything.

The good thing about Fallout 76 is they have more impetus to keep adding and improving on the game. It's gotten a lot better after a year and hopefully wastelanders is going to breath some necessary life into it.

Some people have just posted on the Bethesda forums that it seems like they lost the Fallout 1st subscription:
Just tried to log in today and go to the "private" server and the game is telling me i no longer have fallout 1st. i also know of 2 other people that are having this same issue.
And I. I bought it yesterday. I don't have today. Closed entrance. Inactive tent.
I had 1 day.
Maybe you need to buy a monthly / year subscription every day?
The lust for money has burned the brains.

Just. Regular mishaps every few days. This is a nightmare.
Such a premium - pay and you have no access - I have no words.
I feel anger and anger at that. They make fools of us.
Loser. .
First it was the scrap being eaten, now it seems that their subscription might cancel itself for some people. >_>
It's like they are trying to sabotage their own Fallout 1st service by making it a hassle instead of a bonus.

They'll continue to lose players if they don't fix what's already wrong. I love the idea of having NPCs in an RPG (who would've thought role playing games need life in the world that xXFuckedUrMom69420Xx can't provide?) but they seriously need to fix their issues first

It may be a spin off, but according to what Bethesda has said about their upcoming games, Fallout 76 is going to be the official face of Fallout for the next 10 years. If that's the case, it's hard to imagine it not having a pretty significant impact on the franchise.

... huh? Where did you read that?

They discuss it in the Todd Howard / IGN interview that Starfield will be their next game, then TES6, then Fallout 5 some time after that. So I am estimating that
Starfield will be released in 2021 or 2022. Then TES6 will be 3-4 years after that (2026), and Fallout 5 will be 3-4 years after that (around 2029). And that's not accounting for any other spinoffs. But who knows--maybe they will start making games faster.

You see, if it's anti-capitaism... It must be... COMMUNISM! :revolution::lol:

Because they put capitalism on a pedestal because it's their god. So then it is good, no matter what. But really, it's just a economic system. And like with everything else in this world. It can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on who is in charge, what kind of people make up most of the population etc... If most the of the population are idiots, for example. Then capitalism ends up operating like a democracy with most of the population being idiots. And then a great democratic nation could turn into a shithole, very quickly. So that's why the gaming industry is just turning into a bunch of greedy businessmen taking advantage of idiots, who are willing to pay, more and more and more for trash products and services. So because most gamers nowadays are idiots, their votes(their purchases) have resulted in an abomination like the Fallout1st subscription. Because only an idiot would subscribe to something that is basically a massive penis going into your ass, tearing it apart until you bleed to death(your blood being your money). If most gamers had fully functional brains, then these greedy businessmen would fuck off to find greener pastures. And something like Fallout1st wouldn't exist... Fallout 76 wouldn't exist. Instead we would just have Fallout 5. And it would be superior in many ways compared to Fallout 4. So...R.I.P... Fallout series... I'm never buying another Fallout game again unless Bethesda lets go of their rights to the Fallout series. All good things come to end, anyway. It's the way of this world. On the bright side, we were able to enjoy Fallout and Fallout 2. And I personally enjoyed Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 4. Even though those three games took a different path.

Brotherhood of Steel existed? God, I thought that was a horrible fever dream.

That game was just a cash grab piece of trash for console gamers. But fortunately, console gamers back then were smarter and naturally, most of them have never even fucking heard of the Fallout series, so it failed miserably. A game like that with 2019 level graphics though, would probably have tons of idiot gamers willing to buy it for $60 to $70 or over $100 with all the DLC. And pay for a subscription that lets them feel more special in a multiplayer mode.

The fact that There are morons who would pay for it in The First place @Korin is what surprises me. Then again most People are retarded. Instead of paying 100$ for something that should have been in The base game, you could buy Persona 5 Royal or netflix or Xbox game pass.

When you think your faith in humanity couldn't get any lower Fallout First happens. At this point I am just waiting as Corporations take over World, while people cheer they only take their blood instead of selling them for parts and paying for it.

Capitalism, Good in theory, terrible in practice. With AI designed to exploit whales third world war is starting to look appealing.

Capitalism only works well when most consumers aren't retarded...
