Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - 101 Trailer

Anyone know if it's going to have timed responses? I really dislike that feeling of forced urgency. I like to take my time and read everything so I can make a well informed decision about what my character will say.

They need to loosen up on the yellow tint and hire more tinfoil hat people to write the story. Human Revolution was painfully lacking in that regard. But at least we can presume there won't be a half-assed love story in Mankind Divided.

I also hope HD will be more evenly designed. I liked HR but it definitely favored stealth and hacking over the more direction approach.
And a better tie into Deus Ex The Conspiracy is also appreciated as sometimes HR definitely felt like it belonged in a different cyberpunk universe.

I hope the designs will also increase the variety in non humanoid opponents, introducing modified creatures similar to the transgenics in DE1.

Non-humanoid opponents pretty much wouldn't work because of Human Revolution's (and I suppose Mankind Divided's) scrapping of melee weapons in favor of "press X to win" takedowns.

I'm always pissed when I hear of this being in a game only to never notice it in the final product.

What was her name again? I remember being rather pissed I couldn't give her a smackdown once I met her as she honestly deserved that.
And HR was lacking in the conspiracy stuff while DE1 was having a grand old time with it.
Some considered the cutting back of that 'an improvement', it helping Deus Ex to 'mature'. I honestly would like to slap some of those people as the whole 'every conspiracy is true' idea was part of what made the atmosphere so great. (most gamers claiming this BTW never played DE or DE IW so what the hell would they know about the series maturing when all their experience comes from a Wikipedia article and some longplay videos)

Dammit, you would think that getting to play with a setting that has genetic engineering and cybernetic modification that it would tingle the designers imagination to try to come up with some fun enemy ideas to enhance the experience of the player.
I like being able to take down people without weapons but to remove all the melee weapons, not to mention reduce the number of non humanoid type enemies because of a bloody take down gameplay limit seems to be to reduce the experience rather than adding to it.

What always bothered me somewhat is how little augmentations and technology is actually playing a part in the security. I mean I know they have to make it work in a way, where people can beat it, but once you learn the system and know the patrol routine ... the game really becomes very easy. I always had the feeling it was more difficult in Deus Ex 1, if only beacuse of the limited AI and resources you had. Deus Ex 1 was much less forgiving with that. Deus Ex HR was more herp-a-derp, I have all augmentations now!
What I have in mind, are systems which monitore the heart beat of enemies. Kill them and you raise the alarm, take them down non-violently, and someone will wake them up, while everyone will be now allerted for some time. Or more communication between the individual troops. Maybe some IR systems to hunt you if you're invisible. I would love to see enemies reacting a lot more to the players behaviour. If a lot of guards are dissapearing, without giving any report, they would start to team up making it more difficult to get them out of your way. Maybe a team of 3-4 guards would change their routes trough the building, and actuallty look out for an introduder etc.
I feel that this would be a great oportunity to offer more difficulty levels, where the highest difficulty of the game is not simply making you take more damage, but actually giving you much smarter enemies.

I agree on that idea, let the enemies be more reactive to the player and that be the difficulty factor.
The higher you go, the quicker enemies start to notice when something is wrong and that there might be someone sneaking around.
In HR I could take down entire buildings full of guards, one at a time without the others ever thinking "Hey, where did my colleague go? We're suppose to meet up every five minutes during patrol."
And of course monitoring implants as you suggest that go off when someone goes unconscious or dies.

The yellow tint makes the game look great. I don't want all games to look the same and I enjoy the color filters when they are done well like this. It has good aesthetic value.

Also that 6 minute trailer had better writing than 120 hours of Fallout 4.

eh, they change the artstyle month ago from that black Gold filter to....Pink and white

from the result of 4chan feedback

I wonder if the takedowns will still stop time. Also there weren't any melee weapons were there? Sorry haven't played HR in a long time.

Nope, there were no melee weapons in HR. I realize now how actually frustrating the automatic take down system is as someone else pointed out that it makes modified animal/transgenic opponents difficult to add. (unless they expand the take down system)

It probably would have been better if automatic take down had never been added in the first place.

Yay for less diversity /s
I also didn't like the piss yellow tint agar had, kind of an eyesore.

Despite the pre-order bollocks

That's Square Enix at work for ya. Just Cause 3 ended up with predictable plot, poor optimisation and map design that's inferior to the ones in the last games because, if I remember correctly, it was originally supposed to have multiplayer and was designed to reflect that.

RotTR ended up boring in terms of writing and puzzle integration because of its AAA no-risks approach and was also an XBOX One timed exclusive. HITMAN is an always-online mess with an episodic system deliberately designed like an early access system for more pre-release cash.

I still enjoyed all of them, so I guess the developers worked hard enough to get at least some good of the game through SE's bullshit, but SE is getting worse than before. Right now, Dishonored 2 and DX:MD are high on my priority list, but considering both games' publishers have made pretty lousy decisions so far, I'm staying out of the hype to avoid disappointment.

funny that those two games were also gain significant backlash for their Denuvo drm policy

I would like to add that they phase out the power bars, cause Adam Jensen shouldn't have to eat protein energy bars to be able to take out two security guards.

They should just add some sort of significantly weaker melee attack that uses up no energy, so that there's at least some way you can defend yourself in close quarters. Personally, I liked the takedowns, but I can see how they can be a bit of a hassle when you're in a scuffle within small spaces.

Why do you want innovation and interesting ideas? This is [X], not [Y]. If you want innovation and interesting ideas, go play [Y]. I don't want to adapt to new things, why do you keep trying to ruin my favourite series? It's almost like you want fun, I'll never get why you have such outdated ideas of how a game should be. Your ideas aren't simplified and straightforward enough, it's not what [X] should be.

I think it's stupid to have to adapt to enemies, it makes the game challenging and forces the player to think in various ways. In fact, every game should be like [X], I've had it with nostalgic morons trying to make everything like [Y], there are so many games like [X] which means the world needs more of them. You obviously have no idea of what [X] should be because you're a [Y] fanboy who just can't accept others' opinions.

Go and learn what gaming is about before you try to give your personal, subjective, harmless, potentially useful advice and ruin everything the [X] series is about, you obviously have never played games before because you keep being nostalgic about games you played so long ago.
