Diablo 3 - Talk shop, stroke e-peen, gear fap, etc

Holy Shit, +280 Dex? Shit must have really changed from D2 to D3. In D2 you would get excited to get an item that held +10 Dex or more.

Also... Why are all your characters female? Never understood why male players liked that.

I ran a Tal/Vyr's build very briefly over the weekend. Does a fair amount of damage but overall seems too weak, has little to no utility and appeared utterly useless unless you had a group that could support you. Don't know why people have such hard-ons for the build. Damage was roughly comparable to my arcane dynamo/dinsintegrate but without the added versatility of having 3 black holes approx every 10 seconds for eating affixes and providing CC.

Picked up some strongarm bracers which are so useful since the proc works for black hole and gives a damage buff to the whole party. Can't justify replacing Unity with a RoRG.

@BigBoss I did not mean offense; I always forget that Minecraft is played by many demographics, because my first experiences of it were preteens and they spent hours watching stupid videos of people playing the game. I have a probably-irrational dislike of the game due to that. More recently, young children want to tell me all about their Minecraft experiences and I truly don't care. What ever happened to Legos? I just don't accept the 21st-Century "everyone can be creative" thing that people are embracing with Minecraft. I disagree with the whole concept. If everyone is made to feel Special and Accomplished and Creative, isn't that the same as given Participation Awards and such, in real life? It makes people feel good, but it's not a wise practice.

Yeah I guess your mainly talking about the Creative Mode. I don't play that. I always play Survival Mode or Hardcore Mode.

So... you're saying that male players who create female characters are basically just chicks with dicks?

I guess it's kind of a role playing thing, but then again, i never understood it too. Some say they like to look at the female body, but these are pixels of some other dudes imagination, it's like you mentally masturbate with another dude - it's a bit creepy.

now com on? Did you really never ever had this feeling of "she looks good"?

The Witcher 2 maybe (not the witcher himself mind you), but it still does not induce bonners or any human kind of feelings and it has really realistic models too, as opposed to Diablo 3.

Remember when this thread was about Diablo 3? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Any time I create/play a female character it's for:

1) RP. If you don't think that's a good reason, Sduibek no cares. A major purpose (the main purpose?) of RPGs is to be able to play a role. Roles can be gender-independent.

2) Female in-game characters are sexier than males, generally speaking, if you're a straight male. It's fun to be like "I'm sexy lol!", which btw many playing as a dude also do; they go "I'm badass-looking and intimidating, lol!"

3) Sometimes the voice acting is really cool and/or less cheesy for the female characters.

4) I also play as male characters

You don't have to understand it, which is totally fine. That's why RPGs are awesome; we each might play the game in vastly different ways, yet we enjoy it collectively.

Only time I ever made female chars was in Diablo 2. And that was because you had to if you wanted to play those classes.

the demon hunter I played was a female, my Barbarian male. The reason for this, is because I simply believe that it fits the role. Just as how the Assasin in D2 was female and the paladin/barb male. Call it a stereotype. Thats fine for me. But honestly, could you imagine Conan as something else then a strong male fighter? ~ I am aware about the existance of Sonja, but Sonja is NOT Conan, you get what I am saying, she's a different personality/character. There are simply certain roles that I asociate with a certain type of person if you want so. The Barb was always a male warrior for me, and yeah the female barb looks and sounds like shit, but thats a totally different problem. A lot of the hype around the DH was also involving the female version, like promo art and videos. Just as how they used the male Barb. So even Blizzard is aware abou this "gender role" thing.
