Doom 3 Goes Gold (Warning - Spoilers Within)

omg why did I read that. I havent finished it.
I guess I was warned in the beginning but my curiosity took the better side of me. CRAP!

Bathroom scene scared the living shit outta me, I jumped up and hit my head in the ceeling.

i believe it's when you enter the last level, there s a brick on the side, marked 'id'. there's the pda.

The thing I hate about the hell visions is that explaining to your friends that you totally had the crap scared out of you by (in my words) "a mirror, then it all goes, like, red, and zooms and goes all slow and s***, totally scary, trust me", you sound like a wuss. Damn you id!

Cool...I went back and found it. I guess when I first played that level, I set off the boss-trigger too soon. Its a matter of turn right or turn left real quick.

Thanks though!

Yar, the Id brick.

I didn't find the hell mirror scary. :( I'm finding that all throughout the game. Some people are all "OMG d00d I'm shittin' my pants d00d!!1" I'm all like "Eh. The mirror went red and I looked like a Zombie for 2 seconds as werd sounds played. Eh?"

So would you say it's less scary than other games you've played, or are you just the type of person that doesn't get affected by horror themed games and movies?

\/\/ Gotcha.

i love the shit that jumps like false alaram and a stupid voice laughing afterwards, like saying"wohaha i got you , you mortal impecible"..

definiton of-
(muhahaha):
well it isn't a fallout word for sure, maybe used as cynical display of a crude scripter, but none the less, a most ineffective word of horror vocality. so don;t use it unless you want to sound corny which you could if you continue to read this stupid thread, so you better stop...now.... ...i said now!

(muahaha)

D3 is corny

they didnt intend to make it any other way...

it's the game equivalent of a cliched hyped horrormovie. a pretty good one at that.

except that its WAY to easy on veteran (and you have to play it to unlock the highest difficulty rating) *sigh*

silent hill really rocks indeed, only problem is that not all the games are available on pc, only the last. so you miss a lot from previous episodes...

I've seen them all available for pc for about $10, Silent Hill 2 even has a "Director's Cut" version for PC.

How is the control scheme - is it a lot like Resident Evil, or worse? I had to give up on RE2 because I got to the point where I just couldn't stand the awkward controls (this was on a playstation).

Well i got the chainsaw and the plasma rifle now. Has anyone been to the part where you hear a voice saying "come hereeee.....".
And "follow me..", I got ldriven by the voice to go past a wall and in to this weird looking obviously a deathtrap place. I found the plasma rifle there way before I got it from the storage locker.

On SH2 director`s cut you can choose the RE controls or another way, called directional. The cameras are pre-fixed though, actually in this game i don`t wanted it to be diferent, since they are pretty spooky, not just cumbersome like in RE.

Again i don´t like the controls, but the atmosphere is actually too good not to play it, SH 1 and 2 don`t have much combat, wich makes the controls more bearable. SH3 has a bit more combat, but i haven´t played much of it.

Heres a weird doom 3 bug, appearently if you press 123 on any locked locker or door it opens. My friend was trying to hack a locker and got it open by pressing 123, on every locker.

Definitely does not work. Plus, why bother hacking a locker? You're just going to need to find the PDA with the combo anyways.
